Q&E Babble

Okay, I give.   I am doing it.   I miss PPWM too much.

I want to babble.   I think you all want to babble.  So let’s babble here and then go back to PPWM when they finally get us fixed.   I know, it’s discouraging now, but I am too optimistic for my own good.   I do think iVillage will get this mess fixed.   One day.

For those not on FB, Shelly is monitoring Waylon, debating on a trip to Pitt.   He ran a fever all day yesterday and most of the night.   At her last check in, he’s down to 99.   She’s calling the coordinator this morning.

I had my work party last night.   I took a platter of Jalapeno Cheese Grits.   I have never had 6 people ask me for a recipe before.   I heard they were, “on point” and “ready.”  I love it when I bring the most popular dish.   There wasn’t a scrap left.

Off to get dressed for work.   As of 3:00 today I am done until January 2nd.   And then I can start counting down for my spring break beach trip.

Huge yawn is right.   I so did not want to get up to exercise today.   But, not only did I do it, I moved up to a harder circuit.   I do love that burn when I'm done though.   My body is screaming at me.

Mel, I hope those headaches get better.   No fun.   Sorry you missed the reception.

Gaye, that puppy mill sounds horrifying.   I don't know how anyone can mistreat an animal.   So happy Gemini got adopted quickly.   I am sure the child will love him.

We have a crazy week ahead.   Three softball games.   Tonight is the first regular season one.   DD gets out of school at 4:00.   I get off work at 4:00.   She has to be at the field, an away game, at 4:45.   At least this game is in town.   We will fly home, both change at lightening speed, and head to the field.   And we'll likely still be late.   DD plays on the JV team.   The JV squad is expected to stay for the Varsity games to cheer.   So that game starts at 7:30.   We'll be there until about 9:30-10:00.   Homework, supper you ask?   I have no idea how this will work.

Thursday will be worse.   She plays at 6:00, be there at 4:45, in a town 45 minutes away.   The absolute earliest we can get on the road is 4:30.   And that's pushing it.   We'll see how that one works too.   I am going to ask about getting her an excused absence to leave school early.   Since it's a school team that shouldn't be a problem.   Also helping that out, DD is a library helper the last hour of the day.   She won't miss anything academic.

Five work days this week and four next week.   We leave for the beach a week from Friday.   Ahhh....

Yawn-- Oh sorry - Morning Ladies-

Tracy I would be running on empty if I tried your schedule for a week. No make that a day!  Did I hear you right?  One week from this Friday you leave for your beach vacation????  Wow!  So tell us are you taking Jillian with you?

Mel can I ask why it is you decided to try cloth diapers? Too bad you didn't make it to the reception.  I know I would have loved the African food.

Shelly way to go on the weight loss.  Let us know once you try that JM DVD.  I still say she scares me too much for me to try it.  How is Waylon doing.  If I recall you said he is going to be home bound for two weeks.  Any special reason for that?  How is P feeling?  Still sick to his stomach?  Will he be going back to work anytime soon?  Is he getting on your nerves being around so much - LOL!

Renee you asked about my Dad - he is doing "ok".  He starts the adult day care this week.  We changed his home health care from the VNA to a long term care place that also offers in home services and the adult day care.  The new at home health aid turned out to be someone who took care of my Mom when she was living at the nursing home.  That home got sold and a lot of the people there left.  The chaplin from the old place also is at the new one so my Dad will know people there when he goes for his day camp activities. I am not 100% sure how he feels about it.  He likes going out but his ear and his neck look pretty bad and I think he may be embarrased about it.

Gaye I think Gemini may just love being the center of attention in his new home.  And who knows.  Perhaps the family will be back before you know it for a another pug.

Good Morning ladies!

Sandy- the biggest reason why I chose cloth diapers is they are cheaper....( partly environmental as well) from birth to potty training disposables cost $2000 for each kid... I paid $121 for 24 of them... Frankly we cant afford to pay that much! we will be using disposables when we first get home from the hospital... I have a few packs of newborn diapers stashed away already I got on clearance. Plus I hear its easier to potty train them, when they wear cloth...

Yes I know we have to factor in cost of electricity, for washing them, and laundry detergent too.... ( and time)

I hope that all makes sense! I just wrote it down as it came into my mind lol.

Gaye- Im sure Gemini will love being spoiled as an only dog in the family!

Tracy- woohoo your trip is getting closer!!!

Ok Mel if you say so.  I guess I just do not see the cost savings using cloth.  Plus I think they may not be as leak proof but then again what do I know about diapers - rofl!

Mel - you'll be doing laundry anyway...A couple cloth diapers won't add that much money into the equation! And 2 hours late?  Why?  I wouldn't have been impressed either!

Gaye - have you had anymore knocks at the door?  I hope not.

Tracy - I don't know how you do it!  Neither of my girls were interested in playing summer ball.  I know Natalie is itching to start running again!

Cloth diapers have come a long way Sandy!  They look more like diapers and are waterproof and stain proof.  Nothing like the cloth diapers of yester-year. :)

I was so angry this morning.   I went to get DS out the door for school.   His genious father failed to send any shoes from his house.   All he had at my house was dress shoes.   He had to wear them or go barefoot.   Guess who buys all the shoes that are sitting over at the toad's house?   You got it.

Then I got an email to the whole softball team saying all their clothing is in but no one will get their orders until the whole amount is paid in full.   DD was on the list of not paid.   I paid $320 for those clothes.   There was one hoodie left off the order I paid for because they didn't have the price verified at that time.   The toad said he'd pay for it.   Generous, huh?   The hoodie turned out to be $25.   He never paid it.   So, I was publically called out for not paying my bills, and she can't get the stuff I already paid $320 for since he owes $25.   I am livid.   Why can't he move to Alaska or something?

Mel, did you get the plastic pants to go over the cloth diapers?     And yes to the increased amount of laundry you will be doing.   It is going to skyrocket.

Tracy are you kidding me on both counts?!?!??!?!?!  Your "X" is more than just a toad.  I can't put on here what he really is.
