Q&E Babble

Okay, I give.   I am doing it.   I miss PPWM too much.

I want to babble.   I think you all want to babble.  So let’s babble here and then go back to PPWM when they finally get us fixed.   I know, it’s discouraging now, but I am too optimistic for my own good.   I do think iVillage will get this mess fixed.   One day.

For those not on FB, Shelly is monitoring Waylon, debating on a trip to Pitt.   He ran a fever all day yesterday and most of the night.   At her last check in, he’s down to 99.   She’s calling the coordinator this morning.

I had my work party last night.   I took a platter of Jalapeno Cheese Grits.   I have never had 6 people ask me for a recipe before.   I heard they were, “on point” and “ready.”  I love it when I bring the most popular dish.   There wasn’t a scrap left.

Off to get dressed for work.   As of 3:00 today I am done until January 2nd.   And then I can start counting down for my spring break beach trip.

Mel glad you are feeling better

Tracy your day sounds long, I bet you are never bored though, and as often as I have been bored lately that is a good thing.

So flipping tired. Baby B was up at midnight, he thought it was playtime, I think he is getting teeth(he does this weird thing with waking up in the middle of the night when teething) but he has been working on his top teeth for FREAKING EVER! If they don't come in soon I might throw myself off the roof...Ugh. So he was up from like 12-1:30 ish and then back up at 5 am. I turned the baby monitor off at 5 and let him lay there and babble and got some more sleep, he finally got mad at about 6 so I went and got him. That may be mean but really he was happy to babble to himself for an hour soooo whatever.

Evey has school today, she learned to spell her name Monday, and her phone number Sunday(yes it took about a day to teach her those things, scary) So I will probably do some laundry while she is gone and straighten up the house. Then when I pick her up I need to run by the store and pick up some essentials(namely fruit and turkey LOL)

Its supposed to snow tonight so I think tomorrow will be very uninteresting...

We had huge storms through here last night.   They were really loud.  I hope it doesn't drop our temps too much today.  I was loving the '80's.

Guss, it's good that you don't take too long to transition into a single mom routine.   That would be really hard; he's here, he's not, he's here, he's not.  You seem to do well with it.   I know myself pretty well.   I'd love having him come home, but I'd be ready to help him pack by about day 3.

Shelly, the trip to Pitt blows.   Sorry you have to drive that far for a simple procedure.   They can't find somewhere closer, like Charleston or Morgantown?

Long day at work planned.   I have late meetings and won't get off until about 5:30 today.  I get comp time for that stuff and I have been taking it on home softball game days so I can go to the concession stand early and start the set-up process.  I'll have 2.5 hours to use after today.

Sorry they couldn't help you locally Shelly...

Tracy I am glad your arm is feeling better....

The Boston bombing are sad :-( The pictures are horrific I can't imagine actually being there.

David is gone until June sometime....so its just me and the kids for awhile. Sucks at first but we got a routine going now...so its not so bad. I especially like not having to cook dinner every night I am happy with cereal and Evey is happy with pb&j and some grapes.

Nothing really exciting happening in these parts, Evey had parent teacher conferences at school and her teacher thinks she is really smart and wants her to start kinderprep when she turns 4 instead of staying in preschool the whole year next year....

I am rocking out to spotify while the kids watch tv, I should clean but reallllllyyyyyy its too late in the day for all that. LOL

Well, it was a bust at the local hospital today, I should have known lol  They nurse couldn't repair and she isn't authorized to put a new PICC in a child.  So Waylon has an appointment at 9:30 in the morning. We will be leaving here about 4:00 or 4:30 am and drive up and back afterwards.

I cleaned half of the boys room today. Got the carpet scrubbed as best I can, made Jeffrey's bed, pulled a tote of clothing out of the closet and sorted out shorts for the boys to try on, and packed the things that I think they can still wear in the fall and put in the tote to pack away in the closet. I also have a huge pile of clothing that they can no longer wear, or don't wear.

Tracy ~ Glad you got some relief for your elbow. I had a gaglean(sp) cyst in my wrist, it would pop up on the top, and I had a cortisone shot in it many, many years ago. I remember the shot hurt REALLY bad, but once it was over, it hasn't bothered me since! Hope it helps you out for a long while.

Missy ~ Good luck with the YS

It was a beautiful day here today. I love it!!!!!!!!

Good morning.

Tracy, I hope D starts feeling better today, poor thing. Sorry to hear about the pain in your arm. Hope the shot helps. I hope the bank gave you back the $25 late fee. They are famous for that.

Shelly, hope the local lady can fix Waylon's line. That would be a pain to have to make that 4 hour trip. How is Jeffrey doing today? Any ear pain? I hope your head is feeling better.

Gaye, glad Roo Ben is feeling better.

Renee, that little boy sure is cute! Looks like he likes his toy!

Guss, your kids are adorable together. How is it going with David gone? I see you have been getting snow. You can keep it.

Susan, your girls are growing up! I love their Easter picture you posted on facebook. Has your dh started his new job yet?

Sandy, scary what happened in Boston. I thought of Candace too. Where did you end up eating last night? Home or out?

Mel, happy belated anniversary!

We have that rollercoaster weather too. In the high 80's next couple days and then back to the 50's. Ugh

I am starting to panic about the yard sale. So much to go through and little time left. We have so much crap.

Waylon's first therapy session was ok, I guess, more of just an intake then anything else. She seems really nice, a little "chatty" but that's OK too.  She actually goes to the school he is in on Thursdays, so she will see him there and if need be, she can pull the rest of us into a family therapy session.  Im hoping it does the trick for him.

The feeding tube is doing great things for him, giving him some energy and being more active. I only wish it was from eating regular and not a feeding tube.

We are headed out the door to the hospital to see what they can do for us.

Oh Tracy hope D feels better soon!!!!!

Good morning.

Shelly, that would be great if you can avoid a 4-hour drive to get the line fixed.   I hope it works.   Anything new on the feeding tube?   Is he eating at all?   And yes, how was therapy?

The bank trip was very educational, and cleared up a lot.   I have a small loan out that should be pulled from my Checking account, on the 15th of each month.   My March payment was in arrears, so they froze my account.   HUH?   I get paid on the 15th each month.   There is no way the money wasn't in there.   It's a very small payment.   With their stupid software change, they renamed all their accounts.  The computer attempted to pull the money from an old account that I haven't used in years (it was a dual account with the ex).   Obviously, there is a zero balance there so the payment bounced.   I had no clue.  So, we made that right and got the deducution back on track.   Glad I was there face to face so I could go ballistic when I saw on the slip that I had been assessed a $25 "late fee."   Late my butt.   You pulled it from the wrong account.

I had x-rays on my arm and yes, I have tendonitis a.k.a tennis elbow.   I don't recommend it to anyone.   It really, really hurts.   I got a cortisone shot and it feels much better.

DS is out of school sick again.   That kid is never sick and whatever bug he has now is really holding on.   When I got up at 4:20 I felt him and he was burning up.   He jostled around so I got him to take his termperature.   102.4.   I may actually get him into the doctor today, but maybe not.   My gut says just a virus and it'll run it's course.   My dad is keeping him today.

Add us to the world of roller coaster weather.   I am so ready for summer.
7 Day

The Boston stuff is just horrific.   I cannot imagine.   There is good in the world.   There really is.   I too thought about Candace and hope all is well with them.

Morning Ladies -

Shelly hope the local gal can fix Waylon's line.  It would be much nicer than having to travel all the way to Pitt.  You never said how his 1st theraphy session went.  Do you and or he like the Doctor?  Glad your head is on the meand.

Gaye from what you said I am betting with you on RooBen's problem being the food swap game.  Wish that was Webster's problem because that is temporary.  Unfortunately or guy's problem is mor like dementia and there is not fix for that.  The belly band with the poise attached helps for the majority of the time but if he really let's go is seems to come out the front or the back somehow.  Any suggestions for me?

Tracy how is your arm?  Did they figure out what the pain is from?

The Boston Marathon explosions happened once again too close to home for us.  Just like 911 happened too close to home.  Being less than 2 hours from Boston and just aboutg 2 to NYC makes it feel right in our own backyard.  We always end up knowing someone who may have been in the city at the time.  I am just waiting to find out who we might know that was in Boston yesterday.  I am wondering if Candice may have been in that part of the city.  I believe her DH was a runner.  He might have even been in the marathon.  The JFK library is in the Dorchester part of the city and I belive that's where they live.  That however they think was just a fire and not an explosion.
