Q&E Babble

Okay, I give.   I am doing it.   I miss PPWM too much.

I want to babble.   I think you all want to babble.  So let’s babble here and then go back to PPWM when they finally get us fixed.   I know, it’s discouraging now, but I am too optimistic for my own good.   I do think iVillage will get this mess fixed.   One day.

For those not on FB, Shelly is monitoring Waylon, debating on a trip to Pitt.   He ran a fever all day yesterday and most of the night.   At her last check in, he’s down to 99.   She’s calling the coordinator this morning.

I had my work party last night.   I took a platter of Jalapeno Cheese Grits.   I have never had 6 people ask me for a recipe before.   I heard they were, “on point” and “ready.”  I love it when I bring the most popular dish.   There wasn’t a scrap left.

Off to get dressed for work.   As of 3:00 today I am done until January 2nd.   And then I can start counting down for my spring break beach trip.

Hope Waylons line is an easy fix..

It was sunny and beautiful here yesterday .But it says rain the rest of the week.

Tracy did you get the bank stuff figured out? And your arm ?  ( Sorry if you posted about it already..)

Sandy is John 'done'  ??

Mollys BF asked me to do his taxes Sunday ... He claimed 9 all year long and has to pay a bunch of $$.... No fun and told him to change his claiming asap...

No more accidents here either Gaye- hoping she is done with that.  That was not fun at all.

Prayers for all affected in Boston.

HUGS to all =)

Thank you for asking.  Roo Ben is doing much better.  No messes in the house for two days, now, and I don't even have him in diapers.  I think the diarrhea was from the abrupt change in his food.  The clinic didn't feed what I did, and they didn't send any of their chow home with him so I could transition.

He is still on prednisone twice daily and stumbles.

Yes, drain tube and stitches were removed on Thursday!! YEAH  A big scab covering the drain tube hole, but otherwise it looks really good.

Geeze if it isn't one thing it's 52 others. Waylon's nurse came out this evening to draw labs and his PICC line has a hole in it.  So I called the on call nurse at CHP and she said see if you can get someone close to repair it, if not, come up early in the morning so we can get you on the schedule for IR to repair or replace it!! Uggggg So the nurse called around and one of the local - like within 20 miles, has a nurse that can PLACE PICCs, but she wasn't there and the girl wasnt sure if she could repair them or not.  So. . . I am getting up and taking Waylon there in hopes that it can be repaired. If not, she will have to replace it. But at least it saves a trip to Pittsburgh!!!!

Gus ~ I am loving all the baby pictures on FB!!!!  Those kids are adorable!!!! How are things with David being gone going for you?

Gaye ~ How is Roo Ben doing? What did the doctor say about him? I saw the "Monkey Butt" picture and fell over laughing!!!

Mel ~ I know we ask all the time, but when do we find out if you are team pink or team blue??

Jeffrey has been whiney and bawly for 2 days now. And earlier he was rocking with his blanket and fell over asleep, like 6:30 ish, and is still asleep. He has an ear infection, and said his throat was hurting, so he may have strep, but there is no fever and he is on antibiotics. So nothing much else I can do.

Yes, did the drain tube get removed?    Getting married would be very exciting.

Glad they at least give you comp time, Sandy.   I hear you on no time to take it though.   That happens to me a lot.

I had a crazy day yesterday.   I got up and finished laundry and cleaned the house.   Then DD and I went to team #1 practice.   She was there for 3 hours.   I got a long run in while she practiced.   While she was there DS played a baseball game.   I had to miss it.   He got trucked hard at the plate.   He had been pitching and the play was coming home.   Not sure where the catcher was, but Daniel was covering the plate.   He fielded the throw in from the outfield and got the tag on the runner, and the runner dropped a shoulder and plowed him.   Knocked the wind out of him.   Totally illegal move.   Even if Daniel hadn't made the tag, which he did, the runner would have been out because of the illegal move.   Connected or not, I don't know, but he came home and crashed.   When he woke up he was running a fever of 102.2.   He's home today.

When I got home from the 3 hour softball practice DD went with her dad to practice #2.   That was 2.5 hours.   So she played for 5.5 hours yesterday.   Wow.   No wonder is is rail thin.   I finally got my grass mowed and grilled chicken for supper.

We were all snoozing by 9:30.

Today I am going to the bank, getting my arm checked out, then home to hang out with my sick boy.   He's up now.   His morning temp was 101.9.   I'm glad he can stay home alone a few hours.   I don't want to miss the appointment for my arm.   It is aching.

Tonight DD has a softball game.   I have to be up there by 3:30 for the concession stand.   HOpefully the ex will stay with DD for the second game and I can get Daniel to bed at a decent time.   Oh yeah, RA got an offer from both of the softball teams she is practicing with.   She has to decide ASAP.   She likes them both.   What to do???

Morning Ladies -

Can I tell you working all weekend stinks!  I wasn't able to get much of anything done except a quick trip to the grocery store.  Tracy I think you asked if I will be compensated for working the weekend.  I can take a day off for comp time but no extra bucks in my wallet and I need to squeeze that time off when I can.  It's been pretty busy at work which makes it hard to get the time off.  I will watch the weather and try to pick a nice day to take off.

Shelly glad to hear things are going well with P.  How did Waylon's 1st theraphy session go?  How's your head?

Had a good weekend.  Jan and Marilyn were here and left Saturday morning. Then Philip helped my dad with the camper, and then we went for a long drive with the boys - in search of a part for dad's camper. Came home to 2 inch steaks on the grill, with potatoes and ramps dad made for us.  Then we came home and Jeffrey went to spend the night with Granny and papaw, P and I spent some time talking and then bed.

Today, I finished up his laundry, ironed his welding shirts and packed his suitecase. He did a couple things around the house I needed done. Then he and I took a nap and then he left to go back to work :( I officially hate Sundays now. Before I kind of looked forward to them, so I wouldn't have to be on egg shells around him. Now it's the total oppisite, I miss him soo much.  I usually jinx it by saying anything, but he is 100% a changed person.  I think a diamond is in my future!

Tomorrow I have to go to the DMV for a replacement registration for a truck P is selling. Then to do a little bit of shopping.

Sandy, how are you compenstated for these ridiculous Open House events?   Please tell me there is something they do for you.   It does sound like a stupid waste of time.

Gaye, I hate when I lose posts.  I have completely trained myself to copy everything I write before I post.   Since the fantastic format change I lose more posts than I can get to post the first time I try.   So frustrating.   Glad Christine's surgery went smoothly.   Are you going to be staying with her some while she recovers?

Mel, did it snow last night?  Glad your anniversary dinner was good.

I went to the ballpark yesterday for DS's game.   I love watching him play.   He pitched and didn't do terribly.  Not terrible, but not great either.   After that I had completely forgotten that my old swimming buddy, Ryan, was here from California.   I took teh kids and met he and his mother for lunch.   From there DS got dropped off at a friend's house for the afternoon, DD and I ran some errands, and then I dropped her off to babysit.   I went and met my friend's new baby and hit a Mexican place for supper.

I freaked out there.   I went to pay with my debit card, like I always do.   It was declined.   I have my income tax money in there, and I was recently paid, so I know I have money in there.   I almost hyperventilated thinking my account has been hacked and I have lost all my money.  I charged my meal and left to go check my balance with an ATM machine.   No problem, the money is there.   I went to withdraw $20 just to see if I could.   "Transaction denied.   Invalid request."   I got home and went to check my account online.   I got a message that I need to contact my financial institution.   WTH?   At 7:30 on a Saturday that's not exactly possible.   So I called the fraud line.   There has not been a hold put on my account, which makes this whole thing even weirder.   I was halfway hoping that there had been a hold instituted by the bank.   So weird.   I am now thinking maybe the server for the bank is down.   They recently changed software and have been having all kinds of problems.   That's why all my money was still in my checking account.   I would have moved the tax refund to savings but with the bugs in the new software I wasn't able to do it online.   It told me until they have worked out the issues, I have to come in for service.   As if I have time for that during a regular work day.

Thankfully I had already planned to take off tomorrow morning for a doctor's appointment about my arm.  I have been in pain for almost a month now.   The doctor I am seeing is the man DD babysat for last night.   He diagnosed me last night at his house.   Tennis elbow.   He is going to give me a cortisone shot in the morning.  Ouch!   But can't be more painful than my arm now.   So, before I go to that appointment hopefully the bank will clear up all my issues and let me move my money to the account I want it to be in.

Now I am off to fold clothes, vacuum, and hopefully mow the yard.   I have to leave for the ballpark at 12:15.   I have 3 hours to get all my cleaning done and eat lunch.   I can do it.

Wow - looks like everyone went away for the weekend.  Guess I am just talking to myself.  Tell the truth Ladies is it my perfume keeping you all away?  I brushed my teeth and took a shower and put on deodorant so it's can't be that.  Sigh.

Well I am up and just about ready to go to woek at the open house again today.  Sure hope it is better than yesterday.  Had 5 people show up.  All people I have spoken with several times before.  Three of them are just what we call "tire kickers".  One came back without his wife to pick out an apartment (already showed him 3 other properties and the one same one again yesterday.  One is well how can I say this in a nice way - a bit odd - she wants to transfer from another property (one that is only 2 years old to one that is 13 years old and at a higher rent).  She came with her daughter who told her she was on her own.  She was not going to help her pack up move nor help pay the higher rent.  Oh well no one listened to me in the office when I told them a today open house at this property would be a total waste of time.
