Q&E Babble

Okay, I give.   I am doing it.   I miss PPWM too much.

I want to babble.   I think you all want to babble.  So let’s babble here and then go back to PPWM when they finally get us fixed.   I know, it’s discouraging now, but I am too optimistic for my own good.   I do think iVillage will get this mess fixed.   One day.

For those not on FB, Shelly is monitoring Waylon, debating on a trip to Pitt.   He ran a fever all day yesterday and most of the night.   At her last check in, he’s down to 99.   She’s calling the coordinator this morning.

I had my work party last night.   I took a platter of Jalapeno Cheese Grits.   I have never had 6 people ask me for a recipe before.   I heard they were, “on point” and “ready.”  I love it when I bring the most popular dish.   There wasn’t a scrap left.

Off to get dressed for work.   As of 3:00 today I am done until January 2nd.   And then I can start counting down for my spring break beach trip.

Shelly sorry you have to continue your stay at Pitt but a small part of me is glad because it sounds like you will be getting the help you need to get Waylon to eat and take his meds.  Is that pretty much what the conclusion is?  Also you can go out for those walks to keep your exercise up.  That's good too!

Susan love the pictures!  So glad you all had a good time.  Like Tracy said how could you not have fun it's a water park AND it was all paid for!!!

I was going to say the same thing, Susan.   Has P ever been there before?  Is he going to stay?   I guess he didn't start back to work today.

I love that you are going through with the therapist.   Only good can come from that.

But, then again, this whole situation is awful.   I hate that you all are there another week.  Beyond the frustration of the whole thing, you have to be bored out of your gourd.

Susan, great pictures.   Glad you all had fun.   How could you not though.   It's a water park.

So sorry, Shelly.  I hope Waylon is feeling better soon and that you can come home before expected.  On a slightly different note, P is bringing the clothes up?  Has he been there (the hospital) before?  Sounds like he is turning a new leaf Shelly.  That's great.

Susan ~ Looks like a great time for you all! I love the pick of you and DH!!!!

Doctor was in, not good news at all.  Gonna put an NG tube in (down the nose into stomach) so we can feed him and make sure he is getting all of his meds.  We will be here at least a week. Ugggggg Going to bring the therapist in, and then find one at home for us to see once we get home.

So here we are.  Called P and told him, mom is going to pack me some more clothes and he will bring them up. I'm feeling blue today now :(

we had a lot of fun this weekend and boy o boy were we tired little pups!  With the time change, we were all dragging a little bit this morning.  The girls slept 11-12 hours on Saturday night!

No big surpise I gained a pound this week.  I can't say I wasn't a little surprised it wasn't more!

This girls enjoyed the water park on Saturday.

Anyone else have to sign in a gazillion times before it will take? 1/2 step forward, 10 steps back..............

Just saw Valerie Harper on the Today Show. What a brave lady. Such a sad story about her brain tumor.

Gaye, that is scary. I hope the cameras scare them off.

Cara, so glad to hear Erick passed. What a load off for both of you.

Guss, glad you got a date day. How did it go?

Tracy, I'm sure you're counting down the days. I'm glad Baylie gave up band and Kelsie's not interested. But we always went.

Sandy, did you get any snow?

My grandma hasn't had anymore weird nights. so that's good. My aunt will be with her until Saturday.

It's a rainy day and the temps are dropping. Grrrrr

Morning Ladies

Gaye that is scarey.  Do you think maybe the boys that were hellions when they were younger could be nasty adults now?

Tracy your original post for this thread says you are off until Jan. 2nd and then start your count down to spring break.  That was back before Christmas.  Now it is down to just three weeks away.  That's funny!  Good luck with all the running today.

Oh, Gaye, that is so awful. No one should feel that scared in their home. I like your plan. Especially the work boots. That's a good idea. My parents have the Beware of Dogs signs. I wish they had an alarm.

Monday. Yuck. Two five day weeks and then a four day week and we are south bound. I cannot wait.

We have a busy one today. Well at least I do. The ex will be sitting at home. DD has softball right after school. She gets out at 4:00, right when I get off work. I meet her and take her backpack, purse, lunchbox, and saxophone from her. She also has a bag of softball clothes with her which she will take on up to the field house and change. I will go back and get her at 5:30 (practice is over at 6:30) to get her home for band. They have their spring concert tonight. She has to be there at 6:15 for a 7:00 concert. That'll run until about 8:00. Then we have to go to the ex's house and pick up DS. I'll get home about 8:30, and DD will not have eaten or done homework. DD has been in the band since she was in 5th grade and her father has yet to come to a concert. I don't enjoy them either, but I go. I think it's pitiful.

I hear birds chirping out my windows. Spring really is coming. I have my furnace set to go down to 62° from 11:00 PM- 5:30 AM. I got up this morning (4:50) and the thermostat read 68°. I checked, and it was set to be 62. Heat. I loved it.
