Would you, as a parent, snoop in your child's room or on their FaceBook account if you felt a need to?

Sorry so late!

I would confront them first, but if I felt I was being lied to and it could prose a danger, then yes I would.

Absolutely! We just got Baylie her first phone for Christmas. We told her we could take it anytime and read her texts if we need to. There is too much junk out in the world nowadays and they are just kids afterall.

Oh, heck yeah! I read DD's texts now. I suspect nothing but if there was something to know, I'd know it. I consider it good parenting.

Absolutely! I check Tristan's browser history, Facebook, text messages, etc. Not regularly, and if he were actually sneaky he could delete them as he goes, but I haven't really had any concerns. Not thrilled with the language he uses with his friends, but I never hear him cuss (despite our poor examples sometimes), so that is not a huge concern. I haven't ever searched his room, but I haven't really felt the need to.  I don't ever tell him when I check - I just pick up his phone and glance through it.

I would and DID many times..... not that I always felt the need but if I seen something that I wondered about, I would not hesitate to investigate further.... I also believe it is good parenting!

Oh YES!!!!! Waylon is on the computer so much, on YouTube and I go every so often and check what he is watching. Nothing "dirty" mostly Lego and Minecraft videos, and some music ones. Some have some bad language, but he can hear that anywhere, and he knows better then to say it. His brother on the other hand dropped the *F* bomb last week!!! Oh yes, he did!!!! He got a very stern talking to and he said he didn't know it was bad another kid at school had said it. . . . . So I said that's fine, but you DO NOT say it unless you want your mouth washed out with soap and a butt whippen' you will never forget.

Yes, it is good parenting.
