QOTD for MONDAY

What's your specialty meal? I am meaning like your "I don't know what to cook, but I know I need to cook something" go-to meal. It doesn't have to be entirely homemade. It may be picking up pizza.

But I think we all have that one meal which we always have the ingredients on hand and we end up making it more than anything else.

I always have the stuff to make spaghetti.   Both of my kids inhale it.   And it's super Q&E.   That's been my go-to meal many, many times.

Its usually a frozen pizza( we dont always have them in the house, but its so easy and tempting working in a grocery store!), or spaghetti.

Hmmmm - I guess I would have to say turkey burgers. I try to keep a package of ground turkey in the freezer. Side would be whatever I have on hand.

Mine would have to be Spaghitti as well.  I always have noodles and since the boys don't like sauce. . . . if I don't have any, then they will be ok.

I would say beef and noodles.  I could also say spaghetti or tacos, but those don't always sound good.  When we get our beef each year, we have some roast canned.  It cooks pretty quickly also.  Beef and noodles, mashed potatoes, corn, and applesauce is always a home run in our house.

Sorry so late, gals... work has been totally crazy!  And not sure if I told y'all but my mom was back in the hospital.  Anyway... I had to take her to the dr. yesterday and today I am taking her to chemo.  But, she is doing really good at this moment.

My go-to meal is usually a box of Macaroni & Cheese which I mix with leftover taco meat.  I usually always have some taco meat in the freezer and if I don't, I have put cut up polish sausage, a can of chicken or even cut up hot dogs in it.  Sometimes if I'm by myself I will make a box plain with nothing added.

I usually have stuff for spaghetti too and I have used leftover taco meat in the spaghetti sauce but Ashleigh doesn't care for it.  She and my husband are meat eaters so if I don't have any ground beef or ground turkey to use, i won't make it.

I would have said tacos but i normally do not have ALL the ingredients necessary for us to have on hand which would be SALSA BRAVA (a total must!), corn tortillas, oil for frying the tortillas, ground beef, sour cream, shredded cheese, HVR ranch dressing, green onions, tomatoes & lettuce... I prefer to have refried beans too but they are not a must.  You would be surprised how fast the green onions go bad in my fridge.... even in the "crisper" as Tracy calls it.. lol.

Hey, I didn't make that up.   It's in the dictionary.

Definition of CRISPER

: one that crisps; specifically : a closed container in a refrigerator intended to prevent loss of moisture from fresh produce

One that crisps, especially a compartment in a refrigerator used for storing vegetables and keeping them fresh.

Not Tracy-slang.  Google image search the word.   You get pictures of crisper drawers.    Look up the specs of a fridge:
Humidity-controlled Crisper Bins

Helps you preserve the freshness of fruits and vegetables with selectable humidity levels. Two crisper sizes allow for even more customization.

It's a crisper!
