Do you like nuts in your food i.e quick breads, cookies, brownies, ice cream, salads, etc.

Ick... why mess up a perfectly fine peanut by boiling it and making it soft and soggy?? LOL

You boil the green, or not yet mature, ones.   You say soggy, I say delicious.   I am not anti-peanut, just anti-peanuts as a dessert food.   Maybe I need to get my friend to boil us up some for the next summer get-together.

I had them at a Hyman's in Charleston, South Carolina. They came with everyone's meals (kind of like tortilla chips & salsa at a Mexican restaurant). They were warm and sitting in a liquid. Is that how your friend serves them? I would be willing to try again.

Yes, that's how they are served- in warm in water.   You can spice up the water to make Cajun boiled peanuts too.

An entire post about liking to eat nuts or not and no one went "there".  To say I'm shocked may be putting it mildly.

You know, I almost put in the original post something like, "Yes, I am asking if you like nuts."   But I didn't, figuring someone else would pick up my slack.   And no one did.   Until you brought it up, Susan.  See- I told you all I wasn't the most dirty minded one here.
