Years ago the ex, we were married at the time, knocked over one of those huge cake candles right after he blew it out.

Wax everywhere.  I did eventuall slowly get most of it out with wax paper and an iron on low.

I would probably have to say candle wax also.  My water had just broke with baby #1 and I was flying around the house getting things together to head to the hospital.  I blew out the candle and tried to wave the smoke away with my hand, instead I knocked over the candle.  Down the entertainment center, my shirt and pants, and on the carpet.  I changed my clothes and we headed to the hospital.  It had a few days to set before I got to cleaning it up.  PITA!  But on a bright note, we had a beautiful baby girl!  lol

I can tell we raised girls, Renee... same for me... hair dye and RED nail polish... but, sadly, I cannot blame my girls for either of them.  It was me both times.  While painting my toes, I knocked over the bottle onto my brand spankin' new ivory colored berber carpet!  I was sick...  I knew my husband was going to give me heck because I had forbid anyone to eat in the living room for fear of them spilling something on it.

So... I ran to the linen closet and grabbed a hand towel and then to my bathroom for some fingernail polish remover. After I was scrubbing for a few minutes, I noticed that the red now looked purple... and realized I had a blue hand towel and the polish remover was making the color from the towel was transferr onto the carpet.   The nail polish remover was also making the stain seem bigger and bigger too.  So... what does a girl do???  I rearranged the furniture in the living room real quick and put a chair over that spot.

I had really forgotten about it...  until I moved the furniture around again.   I decided to go look in the closet to see what kind of cleaners we had in the closet to clean the blue/purple/red spot.... I could not believe that stain came right up even after all that time!

The stuff was called Spot Shot and it works like a charm!  So, when I accidentally squirted hair dye passed my head and onto the wall of the bathroom and unbeknownst to me, the carpet too.  As some of you know, the hair color gets darker with time so I did not even see it until the next morning.   I was hoping against hope that the Spot Shot would work for hair dye and it did!  I had to do it twice, but the second time was the charm... completely gone!  So, I think y'all know I will recommend Spot Shot if anyone asks for my advice on carpet stains!  LOL
