We stay put for Thanksgiving. We did at one time travel to Hudson, Ohio several years in a row and once to Indiana when my brother and his family lived out that way. It was fun but now they live in our area and I am just as glad to stay put.
The last few years I have hosted Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve & Christmas Day. So no traveling. If someone else is hosting it is usually just a 20 - 30 minute (if that) drive for us.
