Have you made any treats or cookies for the Holidays? Yes I have
If so, what kind did you make? Red velvet swirl cheesecake, roll out sugar cookies (the dough is in the freezer to be used this weekend), green/white swirl sugar cookies, white chocolate cherry shortbread cookies, and a pound cake.
No, I haven't done any holiday baking yet. But, I do have the stuff for Fantasy Fudge, my husband's favorite and a must make for me every year at Christmas. I also have the stuff to make White Trash which is 3 different kinds of Chex cereal, pretzels, cashews and peanut M&M's covered in white chocolate. Ashleigh has requested the White Trash.
·10 cups of Chex cereal (bran, rice, corn or multigrain)
·2 cups cashews
·1 lb M&M’s
·2 pkgs (12 oz each) vanilla chips
·3 Tbs oil
Mix first 4 ingredients in LARGE bowl or roaster type pan.
Heat chips and oil in microwave on medium high heat for 2 minutes, stir and then microwave again for 10 second intervals until chips are melted and smooth.
Pour melted chips over cereal mix and stir well.Spread on three waxed paper lined baking sheets.Cool and break apart.Store this mixture in an airtight container.
You can use any kind of nuts or combinations of nuts. You can also substitute different kinds of cereal.
Have you made any treats or cookies for the Holidays? -- not a thing!
If so, what kind did you make?... so far I have just made a pig of myself in the staff lounge!
Do you plan on making any?.... I have a ton of "plans". Just don't know if any of them are going to happen! I do need to make Chex mix and fudge, for sure. That will have to be this weekend. Right now I don't even know what is for dinner, and I am picking my brother up from the airport after school today!
