QOTNight Monday:-)

Okay so I know there is a schedule of QOTD people so I didn't want to step on toes but I was curious. When I was working out today I used the elliptical, and its a weight loss program so its timed.....and I know a lot of you ladies work or and what not so here goes:-)

When you work out do you watch the clock?

Do you count calories(either with a heart rate monitor, or one the machine if you use one) while working out?

If you count food calories do you ever work out a specific amount because you want to eat something and only have the calories to eat it if you work out???

If you do count calories does it have to be a rounded number????

When you work out do you watch the clock?

Um yes, I am terrible about watching the clock. I switch back from the clock to the calorie thing on my elliptical manically, and check my calories burnt when I do insanity with my heart rate monitor like every 30 seconds LOL. I am addicted to watching the clock but it makes it seem like it goes so much longer...

Do you count calories(either with a heart rate monitor, or one the machine if you use one) while working out?

YES, I can not work out if I don't know how many calories I am burning along the way, I get discouraged.

If you count food calories do you ever work out a specific amount because you want to eat something and only have the calories to eat it if you work out???

Yes again, okay so I only asked this question in hopes that other people were as bad as me:-)

If you do count calories does it have to be a rounded number????

Yes, my work out finished today I realized I needed to burn like 12 more calories for it to be 400 so I just kept going until I hit the 400 mark....

When you work out do you watch the clock? --- not since I got my iPad and AmazonPrime/Netflix apps. I watch an "hour long" show (about 45 minutes) while I ride the bike.

Do you count calories(either with a heart rate monitor, or one the machine if you use one) while working out? --- my bike has a calorie readout, but I don't think it is very accurate. Or I tell myself that, as the MFP calculator gives me far more calories burned than the stupid bike readout.

If you count food calories do you ever work out a specific amount because you want to eat something and only have the calories to eat it if you work out???  - not a specific amount, but if I am going to go over if I don't exercise, I be sure and do it.

If you do count calories does it have to be a rounded number???? --- I don't look at the specific number, I just ride my 45 minutes and am done. It usually covers what I need it to.

When you work out do you watch the clock?   Yes because I am always ready for it to be over.

Do you count calories(either with a heart rate monitor, or one the machine if you use one) while working out?  No

If you count food calories do you ever work out a specific amount because you want to eat something and only have the calories to eat it if you work out???  The sole reason I work out is so that I can eat more.

If you do count calories does it have to be a rounded number????  Nope

Since I jacked my arm up, bad, doing the weights with Jillian Michaels DVDs I have rediscovered my Wii Fit.   I do the free run or free step.   Yes, running in place (I do high knees at a rapid pace) or just stepping up and down over and over on the balanance board isn't as good as running outside, but it works for me.   I am dead when I am done.   I usually do 30 minutes and sometimes some other circuits too like Rhythm Boxing or Super Hula-Hoop.  On the Free Run or Free Step modes you can flip over and watch TV, which I do.   The controller talks to you and tells you how you are doing and how much time you have to go.

If you count food calories do you ever work out a specific amount because you want to eat something and only have the calories to eat it if you work out??? no I would never do that.... same idea as eating your activity points on weight watchers... some people do it... personally I work out to lose faster... not so i can eat more lol.

I agree with Renee...jump in whenever!

I always watch the clock.  If I'm outside I don't.

I don't count calories anymore.  Our Biggest Loser was over at work at the beginning of April.  I even got lax before that because my girls were becoming obsessed with it.  Everything they would pick up they were looking at the calories and fat content, etc.   The last thing I need is 2 self conscience little girls.  Life is hard enough!

I did notice a huge difference between what my treadmill and MFP said on calories.  I usually went with MFP amount since it had my weight, height, age, etc in it.

I haven't been exercising period and I can tell. However, I have started taking some of the "bee Pollen" type diet pills, they detoxic you and curb your appitite and are all natural, SOOO I think it will be ok.  I am headed into "Sally's" room in a little bit to get it organized with my Beading stuff.  I bought a folding table and some small plastic drawers and my tread mill is in there, once I get it all in order I am gonna start walking on it.

But I will probably walk for an alotted amount of time, and just be done with it.  I also was using MFP and haven't FOREVER, but plan on getting back into it.

Shelly, Don't wait on that treadmill.  Hit the road and walk.   It's beautiful out there.   I have got to find the time to get out and run more.
