Here is where I am with the Board:
I am using Firefox now. It looks like it is going to let me post now, but that was not the case yesterday. Firefox was the one that just routed me in circles with the log-in screen and the main Food page. But, even if I can post this, I will not be able to see any responses. I can see how many responses their are, but none of them show on my screen.
If I use IE, I can see the responses, but I cannot post. It lets me log-in but then tells me I am not authorzied to post comments when I try to start a thread or respond.
Google Chrome won't let me read or post.
So, I can visit the board using IE and read the responses. Then I can jump over here to Firefox and start a new thread, but that is all. I cannot respond to comments using any server.
I am in high hopes that all this will be cleared up soon. I am having severe Q and E withdrawls.

I'm having withdrawals too.... I hate it.
I am not having the same problems a lot of you are. I can respond, I can read the responses and I hope the checking of the box in the GENERAL tab will help with the line-up of the posts (I like the most recent post on the top... not all mixed up in the bunch!).
I am still waiting for the indicators that a post has NOT been read (new responses in a thread). I can see how many responses are in the post but my brain is not good enough to remember it the next day so when I click on it, I find that I've already read all the responses in that thread. I don't like that and like Susan, I do agree that this is such an important feature (at least to me) that I will wait and not complain.... unless it takes a really long time... then I will... lol.
Until then, I am going to play around, responding, posting and even posting a few pictures because I have some awesome shots of my grandbabies that I've not posted...
I cannot change the color of my fonts yet either but hopefully that will be coming real soon, black gets boring and there's only so much you can do to make it interesting... bold, italics or underlines.... lol.

= Yell I tried making them bigger and easier to see but they got a little blurry. I was not sure what "money mouth" & "sealed" meant ... maybe something was expensive for "money mouth" and maybe something is a secret for "sealed?" Oh well... they are way better than those scary human faces available previously. I like the plain basic smiley faces... the only ones I think may be missing are the green face for sick or not feeling well and the one with smoke coming out of the ears for angry.
PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE, gals..... do not give up on us..... we do not want to lose a single one of you so please bear with us... iVillage powers that be have assured us they are working on everything that we are complaining about. It does seem to be getting better... so keep the faith my Q&E Sweeties!!!!

Clearly, I am able to read and reply (using Firefox), but no font colors, and some threads are still not opening, due, I assume, to those missing user accounts. Hope we get those back soon -if they can't, I am afraid that PPWM is doomed. I was able to open it at one point and post to it, I think by changing the sort so that it opened up at the very beginning. Then I replied to one of the posts. It apparently worked, since it now shows me as the most recent poster (replacing Visitor), but I can't get it to open. The thread goes up to 2005, or 2007, if you start from the beginning. I changed it to "show 50 posts per page" and then changed the page number at the end of the URL to 900 and got to the last available post, I think.... nothing in this decade, though!
I really hope they get the "mark threads as new" feature fixed soon, but according to Jessica's original announcement, that is one of the features they have to rebuild, so it could be awhile.... Especially since they apparently didn't anticipate a lot of the current issues.
Well, baby steps here. I am posting from IE. YAY!! It let me log in this time.
I do not see anything called "General," something Daisy mentioned. I don't see where I can affect any settings. I can add an attachment to this post, but that is all.
Somebody e-mail me when this mess is functional again. Coming here only makes me angry.

The 'general' tab should be visible after you click "Edit my Preferences" in the list to the right of the message boards.
I know it's frustrating -- they've got another big push of fixes coming out shortly and they did a bunch last night. (They literally are working around the clock.) On a good note, things are much faster than the old layout! There is a light at the end of the tunnel...thanks for sticking with us through the fixes, we'll get there!

Looks like I can respond today. Baby steps. A few giant steps and we may be back. Oh, how I hope so. I don't want poeple to drift away waiting for this to get fixed. I miss my girls.
Logins are fixed, you can reply to posts, some siggies and avatars are starting to come back, missing threads are reappearing...
Hang on, we're getting there!
