Sunday Dinner

How come we never post what we're having for Sunday dinner? In some families it's the nicest and most planned meal of the week.

My daughter and grandsons will be here after the cookie baking afternoon and I'm planning jagerschnitzel. Pork chops pounded thin and breaded. Simple, really. Probably yams with it. Maybe noodles instead.

We are having soups tomorrow -- #1 roasted plum tomato soup with fresh basil, #2 sweet potato, apple & leek, #3 split pea & ham, all served with assorted Italian breads with whipped butter & a few assorted cream cheese spreads. Tomorrow is our annual Christmas church family sing along, our church as not large enough or rich enough for a big Christmas production these days, so that has been our tradition the last few years. This year dinner is being prepared by one of our chefs & served after the service. I can hardly wait to taste the soups!

I'm going with Tracy to her parents house!

Not sure today. I'm exhausted from getting home at 11:45 last night! And my sore throat is back. Hoping I can get some soup made. Dh is taking the kids out for a while because I worked so hard yesterday.

Sandy,I will see what I can do about recipes. Cliff seems to just make things up as he goes along. He seems to have maybe a basic recipe in his head, but if he spies something in the fridge, or cabinet or just sitting on the counter, he may just add it to the mix. I love soups! That soup & bread party sounds like a simple & fairly inexpensive get together -- what a great idea fo gathering friends & family! I am hoping to have some sort of get together after the first of the year, once our flooring & stairs are done, I might have to go with something like that!
