Gotta meal plan yet?

It's Jeff birthday.   He asked for grilled burgers and fries.   I'll do a salad with that too.   For dessert he asked for Black Forest Cake.   I cheated and got a chocolate cake mix.   I'll make a layer cake with that, put cherry pie filling in between the layers. and ice it with Cool Whip.   Yes, a total shortcut cake but I don't have time to make it from screatch.   It'll still be good.

Happy Birthday Jeff.

We had steak & cheddar broccoli rice.  My soon to be DH also had king crab legs with his (his valentines/anniversary gift from me)

My brother in law always asked his mother for a Black Forest cherry cake for his birthday.  (He was stationed in Germany when he was in the service.)  She was a good cook, and she would make it from scratch.  It was a two-day project to make the authentic thing.

Dinner yesterday was leftover chicken-asparagus risotto.

Happy belated birthday Jeff!

The cake sounds good to me! I'd scarf it up.

We had chicken & dumplings.

Happy Birthday to Jeff!  Sounds like a nice dinner even with the cake being semi-homemade.

We are having pork chops, salad and some other side.

No shame in taking the shortcut, Tracy! I like the cool-whip and cherry pie filling version, personally. Put a few chocolate curls on there along with a circle of the cherries and it will look great.
