Anything good tonight?

The roast last night was very good and we had plenty left over, so I threw the makings of veggie soup in the crockpot.

Amber was coming over to watch a movie with me (her dad had plans and would not be home) and she wanted to be home before 8:00 pm (Presley's bedtime) and if I cooked, it would not leave us enough time to watch the movie too, so we ran by Taco Bell on the way home after getting the kids. I got some new thing that I'd been wanting to try because Nick told me they were good.  Something about a loaded or stuffed baked potato burrito??  I cannot remember the name but it was pretty tasty and that little Presley at just as much of it as I did... that girl really is a good eater!  I think all of those calories are going to her cheeks! LOL

Anyway... going to get the food instead of cooking was a waste!

Ever since I had grandbabies, I really haven't gone to any movies at the theater... which is something me and my girls used to do a lot together.  Now i watch the kids and my girls go together or Amber & Nick go together (they are BOTH big movie buffs as I guess y'all know since I talk about the Blu-Ray fest they have every Saturday night at his sister's house) anyway... staying home and watching the 2 cutest and most adorable grandbabies ever is really no problem for me.. any time I get to spend with them I am a happy grammy!

Anyway... because of this, I am WAY behind on all the super-hero movies ... so Amber decided that since her husband is such a super-hero fan and has purchased every one of them (Thor, Iron Man, Avengers, Spiderman, Batman, etc.... both DC and Marvel) she could bring one over each week and we could "catch me up!"

So, last night she brought over Iron Man 2 (I did see Iron Man 1.. I just LOVE Robert Downey Jr.) and we were going to watch it since my hubby was going to a friends house to watch the NFL draft.  We popped the movie in but could not find the remote for our Blu-Ray player and even though we pushed the PLAY button on the player itself, it would not play.

The PLAY selection on the menu was highlighted but it seemed like we needed a 'select' button to choose it.  Nothing we did would start the movie playing.... and I mean nothing.  Amber looked online to find out how to either program another remote or download an app on our phone and I checked out the troubleshooting area on Sony's website.

Finally, after over an hour of trying to get the stupid thing going, she called the number on the player to call for help.  After at least another 30 minutes, we were told that some blu-rays just will not play unless you have a remote to select the PLAY option.  Ugh... so frustrating.

Amber asked the lady how much it would be for us to purchase another remote... $65... REALLY???  Heck, for a little more, we could get a brand new stinking blu-ray player!  How stupid...

It was a frustrating evening but Luke was so dang funny, we both got over it ...  He says some of the funniest things and does the craziest things... he hooked up Brady's leash to a metal basket I have with Presley's toys in it and was pulling it around the living room like a wagon.  When it tipped over, he looked over at it and looked at his mom and exclaimed, "Well, that crazy little thing!"  We both lost it..   I sure do love that kid.
