I done everything from  being model, reading poems to carrying trays of canapes.  Many of my friends are painters , not famous yet but who knows and I am the friend they used to turn to for help.

That must have been very interest, Hanna.... so you got to watch the artists putting the finishing touches on their paintings? Or you just worked the preview event? Did you take tickets or something?

Well  using hog hair for the paint brushes, is hard work but pigs are cheaper then sable which is used in the finest brushes.

And  I  worked at few vernissage, when I was younger.

Yeah, i've always dreamed of brushing my hair with a something from a hog... lol.

Guess I can't stump you, Hanna....

Actually, since most of us are not able to learn all about the impressionist era by watching the Knowledge Channel, I guess we will just have to learn new words from my Word of the Day posts... Wink

Sandy.... I guess it IS like getting ready for a hot date..... love it!

I knew breastfeeding infront of the Knowledge Channel would lead to something good. I am nearly done with impressonist era,  fun fact, they prefered  hog brushes.

A private showing or preview of an art exhibition. "Vernissage" has its roots in the old practice of setting aside a day before an exhibition's opening for artists to varnish and put finishing touches to their paintings.

A preview of an exibition often the day before the  official opening, comes from the word varnishing.
