What's cooking tonight?

I just laid out pork chops.   If the weather allows, I'll grill them in Caribbean Jerk marinade.   A sleet line found it's way into our forecast.   Yuck.   I don't grill in sleet.  If it's sleeting I'll toss them in olive oil and pan saute them.  I have fresh broccoli, cauliflower, and carrots.   I plan on tossing those in olive oil with garlic salt and roasting them in the oven.  Add brown rice.   Now I'm hungry.

Hi Shari, welcome to Quick & Easy Recipes... your soup sounds yummy!  I put veggie soup on my menu for this week-end... I hope it stays cold here in Michigan!  Laughing  I hope you stick around and post often so we can get to know you better.... this is a great board with great gals!!

  • Hello and welcome, Shari.   Glad you found us here at Q&E.   Your soup sounds good.   It's been great weather for veggie soup.   I have got to make some soon.   Love the stuff.

Hello Shari!  Your veggie soup sounds a lot like mine, except I usually use equal parts tomato juice and beef broth for my base.

veggie soup, in the crockpot. I use stew meat( beef, )lima beans, corn, cubed pots, and then I put in 2 cups V-8 juice and 2 cups water. Add several beef bouliion cubes, several shakes of Worchester sauce and a few drops of chili powder. Cook in crock pot...yummy

I got a tuna salad sandwich there once and it was an onion sandwich with a little bit of tuna. I about died. Never went back: even to order something else. It's gross here so I baked the pork chops and made the veggies on the stovetop. It was really good. I minced up fresh garlic, sautéed it in olive oil, then added broccoli, carrots, and cauliflower and sea salt to the skillet. Covered and cooked 5 minutes on low. Awesome.

I'm not Daisy, but I sure know what Jimmy John's is! Sub sandwich shop that delivers ("Freaky Fast"): http://www.jimmyjohns.com/menu/menu.aspx Looks like the LuLu is a club sandwich. I always get the Pepe! :-)

That sounds yummy Susan!!!

Im going to have a salad of some kind.... I will add some turkey to it, and lots of fried onions... yum! I better cook some rice or something for DH.... he would not be impressed with salad lol

everyone's old sigs are back again!

DH is going to make bacon cheeseburgers and steak fries for them and I'll have a turkey club wrap.
