Just me again tonight ( it is now full fledge "tax season") so leftovers and then to the "Y" for my aqua zumba class. Can't wait - the stretching in the warm pool will feel terrific on my aching back etc.
I don't eat dinner at night. Those of us with hiatal hernia cannot lie down after eating dinner at night. So I eat dinner in the morning. Today I had chicken and dumplings for breakfast. Unfortunately popcorn for lunch, my co-worker was not there today so I could not take lunch.
Dinner tomorrow at 8 a.m. will probably be broiled ocean perch and roasted new potatoes with a salad.
Instead of the Mardi Gras/Shrove Tuesday/Fat Tuesday pancake supper at church, I cooked a small frozen pepperoni pizza, finished up the bottle of wine in the fridge and ate the last red velvet cupcake.
I brewed a half gallon of cinnamon iced tea, made a batch of cole slaw, and cooked a meatless lasagna for Amy and the boys and me for tomorrow because it is Ash Wednsday. The boys' father, who is a non-practicing Baptist, still takes his kids to the Anglican church when he has them on Sunday mornings. Amy, who remains a cradle Anglican, has been attending a mega-church with her gentleman friend. I had to ask if she wanted a meatless meal tomorrow, and she said she did.
I haven't made lasagna in years because her ex-mother-in-law served a Stouffers frozen family-size lasagna at every family function. I think maybe three years out she might be able to look at my home-made one.

We had leftover black bean and sausage soup
I always forget about the pancake thing on Fat Tuesday. I had never heard of it until we discussed it here.
I'd love a meatless lasagna, Gaye. Yum!
