Well, Presley's birthday party went off without a hitch... she got a lot of stuff she didn't really need but Luke LOVED it! He thinks they new toys she got are fair game and since he's bigger, he's the boss and therefore HIS! They were both SO dang cute.... while we were waiting at the restaurant, I smelled something when I was holding him and I asked him if he pooped and he said no... then i said, did you fart? He dropped his head and said in a low voice... "I did." LOL A chip off the old block!!
This is from Sagano where Nick's immediate family and Amber's immediate family went for lunch before the party:
The guy on the left is Nick's sister's hubby... where they go for their blue ray fest on Saturdays.
Not a great pic cuz I got Nick in the middle of chewing and my hubby wasn't set yet but my phone was dying so I had to take them quick. Luke had yum yum sauce all over his mouth (which is why I took the pic) but you can't even tell it. I think I cleaned up more noodles off the floor than he ate! Those grandbabies are my joy right now.... well, always but I say now because everything is going so wacky for us.
I tried to take a picture of my plate and little birthday girl wanted to get into it! I was holding her the whole time we were eating and I don't think anyone took any pics of us. Amber hasn't given her much people food yet... she follows the "rules" to a tee but since she was going to be a year old the next day, she let me give her a few things from my plate, mostly the vegetables. She ate all my zucchini and a few noodles... I cut the zucchini up very small and it was pretty mushy. I did not give her any of the carrots because they were still very crunchy.
It took her a minute but she eventually dug in and loved the cake!
Okay for those of you who want to see the menu for Saturday night...here you go...

Hope it sounds good to everyone... if not, I am pretty sure Sandy and I will take all y'alls leftovers!
I don't remember if I told y'all but my mom's tumors have doubled in size so she has finally consented to have chemotherapy. She refuses surgery and I do think that was her biggest scare. She snuck (?) the appointment with her lung specialist in on me and went to him without me. So, I really do not know what he said to her but according to her, he told her no way should she have surgery because of her pulmonary hypertension. I sure wish I could have gone to that appointment because my mom is constantly overexaggerating everything she talks about... no matter what it is... so, I have a feeling he might have told her it COULD be risky and she would have interpreted that to mean NEVER!
Anyway... she finally realizes that this natural stuff is not helping and she had her port put in yesterday and is scheduled to have her chemotherapy tomorrow morning. Not the best week for me to go with her since the Ball is Saturday.... but, little-bossman told me to do what I need to do. He is also a cancer patient so he understands... and I've told him that my dad has no clue what this dr says (he's Indian with a thick accent) and my only sibiling is in Texas and besides, I've been there so I can explain things to her and ask appropriate questions. So, I will come in to work at 7, leave at 8:30, go get my mom and get her to her appointment at 9:30 then stay with her while she's receiving the chemo and then take her home... come back to work and work the remaining hours of my shift. Amber can take my car home when it's time for her to leave and I will have my hubby come pick me up. I work on the first floor in a different building with a circle drive right outside my window and the door is just down the hall. Much easier to pick up/drop off.
So...one more thing added in to my already chaotic life.... but, I really am glad my mom has decided to get treatment instead of doing the natural stuff. Not that I don't think natural medicine is good but there are times when you do need to go with what is proven and known to be effective.
Insurance company is balking at what we submitted for clothing loss. The guy said the stuff could have been washed and would not be ruined. My hubby argued that our laundry pump burned up trying to keep up the the pool pump which was pumping out the water from the basement and we were unable to do laundry until we could get the money to get it fixed so the clothes (that Serve-Pro put into plastic bags) ruined... i took pictures of moldy shirts, etc. and he wanted me to send them to him. It's such a pain because we have paid for insurance for over 20 years and never had a claim... well, except for the food spoilage claim we had last summer when we lost power for 4 days. But they only gave us $250... it's not like it was $2,500!
Okay, I better get back to work.... I hope everything is going well for everyone and never think that I have forgotten y'all.... it drives me crazy that I cannot get herre more. I am kind of a strange person... it bugs the crap out of me when I cannot read EVERYTHING that has been posted so when I only have a few minutes to get to the board I think to myself, what's the point.... but, I know that is a flaw... kind of a perfectionist thing I've been told... if I can't do the whole thing, I don't do any at all sort of thing. Anyway... I just wanted to touch base again... sorry for the long message... I miss you gals a lot!!!!
