I got a new calendar that has a monthly calendar on the top and a weekly one on the bottom with a place to put your plans for dinner every day.

I am not sure but it will definitely be something I can whip up without buying anything else. We are ultra-broke until payday tomorrow (for hubby) and even then I think we will still be ultra-broke after paying bills! Bills suck!

Since today is Riley's actual birthday, we are heading to a local pizza place. Pizza is okay there - he likes that place because of the video games!

I think Caesar chicken wraps and a veggie.

Tracy I can't deal with picky eaters either, my cousin was ultra picky and I vowed my kid wouldn't be. So we started feeding her what we ate when she started on solids. Now she eats anything and LOVES spicy! Yay!

I agree...sometimes a picky kid derives from picky parents. I am picky, but so is my dad. Mom never ventured to make new things.

My friend is coming over for supper so we're having pot pie, mashed potatoes, applesauce, corn, and salad. I CAN'T WAIT!

Candice - I'm curious about your calendar...would there be an online version?

Chicken salsa in the crockpot. Will makes nachos out of that.

Gus - I vowed my kids wouldnt be picky either. Guess what? Picky. Emma used to be just like Evey. She ate everything including a variety of ethnic cuisines, my chili, tacos, etc. That changed around two and a half and she is better than a lot of kids, but she got pretty picky for a kid who used to eat everything. Lena is extremely picky. And what she will eat changes from one day to the next. I tried. Really, I did. But I ended up a mom of picky eaters anyway. I had to take back all the things I used to mutter about parenting styles of my sister and sister in law and how I would never let my kids be such picky eaters.

The one good thing is that my kids eat fruits and veggies. They are picky in other ways. So at least they are getting good nutrition, but it drives me batty!

We had perogies ( potato, sour cream and chives) found a box deep in the freezer... fried those up in a little bit of oil, and had salad with it! was yummy!
