plans?

I didn't have much time this morning so I grabbed sausage out of the freezer.  I'll make mashed potatoes, peas, and applesauce (the ol standby!).  Salad sounds good too.

You want to talk old stand by?   It's just Jeff and me tonight.   He has a soccer meeting to go to at 7:00 and can't get to my house until 6:00.   What did he ask for?   Chicken Tortilla Soup.   I swear it's all I ever make for us.   I guess he isn't sick of it because he keeps asking for it.   I like it too and I can prep it in under 10 minutes.    But man, I swear I make other stuff too.

I swear I make the same 10 meals every 2 weeks!  Although I did just find out (after 10 years of marriage) that my hsband will eat fried rice.  Any tried and true recipes out there?

We will probably have taco leftovers... I saved all the soft fried tortillas and will fry them hard tonight (I had previously typed "make them hard" but decided to change it.. and then tell y'all I changed it... cuz I have a feeling that SOMEONE would call me on it... lol).  The leftover soft fried tortillas do not warm up well enough to be served soft again, they get tough and chewey, but they make excellent hard, flat tostada type shells.

I do have about 8 tortillas that were not fried at all that I will fry soft for my hubby and Ash, who prefer the soft fried.  I do too but I will leave those to them and eat the hard ones instead because I am so giving and thoughtful... lol.

Not 100% sure but I may use up the leftover pot roast i made in the slow cooker on Sunday.  It was a new recipe I "pinned" on Pinterest and it came out pretty good.  I may change my mind and save it for tomorrow night since I have a hair appointment right after work.  If I do save it I will go with my old stand by that I seem to make over and over and over again - turkey burgers.
