Sticky Chicken was real good, Renee! I plucked that carcass clean last night and saved the liquid so that should be some yummy stuff to add next time I make a chicken dish. I have enough chicken for sandwiches!
Thanks, Missy. It actually ended up okay. I made a box of Mac and cheese instead of the drive thru. Both kids ate a lot of it. A nice change from Lena insisted she did not like it last week. They had grapes and corn and some multigrain bread too. Not too bad. I gave them each an extra book for eating so well. They are tucked in bed and Geof wont be home for a couple hours, so time for a chick flick!
Sticky chicken, Tex Mex Stew, cube steak, meatloaf..... hmmmm... those all sound better than reheated beef stew with the Cranky sisters. Maybe I'll just call in a babysitter and hop a plane. Anyone willing to throw in a beer?
I'm contemplating sticking the kids in the car and heading to drive thru! Lena just threw an epic tantrum. She got mad because I took something away from her and then she started crying, yelling and hitting me. So I took her to her room and told her that she could come out when she was ready to say sorry for hitting mommy. She sat in there for a full 15 minutes screaming and yelling, I WANT MY MOMMY BUT I NOT SORRY! Finally, she agreed to apologize and she came out. I decided tv time could start a little early. Now I'm wondering if I have it in me to try to get them to eat something healthy for dinner.
Dinner at church tonight is rumored to be meatball subs. One of our guys is a chef for a catering company & brings home lots of leftovers, his vegetarian wife is not thrilled to have a freezer full of meatballs & will be happy to get rid of them!
