Do you have any food or drug allergies? No. I am sensitive to the drug erythromycin, and anything in the "ycin" family. They all make me throw up. So I say I am allergic to it because I don't want to take those antibiotics and get sicker.
My son is allergic to peanuts. That one is scary. He asphyxiates. We carry an epi-pen everywhere.
How did you figure out you had an allergy to it? Throwing up after taking it as a teenager. I tried again about 2 years ago. Nope. Still nausea inducing.
No food allergies that I am aware of, but I am allergic to Phenergan and Reglan
How did you figure out you had an allergy to it?
Phenergan and Reglan are anti-nausea drugs I was given in the ICU when my pancreas stopped functioning. I felt like I was going to jump out of my skin - restless legs and arms, jumpy. Not sure why they were giving me anti-nausea drugs, since I don't recall feeling nauseous - I think it might be a standard preventative measure. I don't recall if they switched me to a different drug or just discontinued it. I was pretty out of it the first couple days.
