What's cooking tonight?

I laid out boneless skinless chicken thighs.   I am probably going to mix up some white barbecue sauce to grill them in.  Wild rice, broccoli from my garden, and salad to go with it.

I threw cube steak with mushroom soup in the crockpot before work this morning. I'll make mashed potatoes, green beans, and applesauce.

My hubby had leftover pork chops & green beans and I had a can of Ravioli. I've been kind of sick all week... nothing sounded good to me but the Ravioli.. weird.

I made spinach meatballs for Amy and the boys for dinner Wednesday, but I didn;t eat with them because I had to go back to the shelter and pick up the puggle I'm boarding.  His new owner is in the middle of Hurricane Isaac in Louisiana and cannot get him there for a few days.

But you DID get some of the meatballs, right, Gaye? I would hate to go to the trouble of making those things and not get to partake! LOL

Yes.  I saved five for myself.

I work at the shelter with a bunch of vegans and I'm beginning to feel guilty when I eat meat.  I could easily do ovo-lacto-vegetarian, but I don't think I could go vegan.  I do respect them, though.  Such gentle, caring people.

I have never been a big-time meat eater, anyway.  Most of the time I cook meat only when I'm feeding family members.

Don't feel guilty, Gaye, God created the animals for that purpose. I'm not saying vegan is bad, just a choice some make. I'm not a big meat eater either but those meatballs are delish! Glad you saved yourself some!

Many in the vegan group I know don't believe in God.  So they don't believe God created animals to provide food for mankind.

I try not to ask a bunch of questions for lots of reasons.
