Tonight was supposed to be a date night for Jeff and me. But he remembered he has his FOP Thanksgiving meal/meeting tonight. So I will be alone. I'll go for a run, then reheat some Chicken Tortilla soup. I am fortunate that freezes well. I make it a lot.

Yay for Guss being back.
My plans changed. My ex is a jerk. Have I mentioned that? I texted him about 3:30 to see if I needed to pick up our son. He writes back, "yes." He is off work Wednesday-Friday now. I knew he took the day off to deer hunt on Tuesday so I had the kids Tuesday night and they are normally with him. All I got yesterday was a yes to picking him up. At 4:30 I texted him to see when he was going to pick the kids up, I wanted to go for a run. He writes back, "8:30 at the earliest I am still hunting." I had no idea I was supposed to feed the kids. I had no idea he was out of town. DD had softball at 6:30 so she had to eat early. After much drama back and forth I fed the kids the gourmet ensemble of corn dogs, chicken nuggets, fish sticks and leftover cheese ravioli (I had some leftover to boil). It was a big pile of yuck for them but they seemed to like it. The jerk swears he told me he was gone until late Wednesday. Nope. The kids thought they were with him yesterday too. Jerk.
Well, Tristan was supposed to cook, but I managed to get a plumber out to fix our dishwasher late this afternoon, then we were all hungry. And Riley wanted to go to the library (and we have put him off for several days, so we felt bad). We decided to go to the new Ram here in town. We like their food (sports bar/restaurant), but the closest one used to be 30 minutes away, so we didn't go very often. New one took over a Marie Callendars that went out of business. It seems to be doing well... a former student was the hostess - weird. A former student was working the drive-thru at Starbucks on Sunday. Another former student was working the McDonalds drive-through a month or so ago. They are everywhere - it makes me feel old. Eileen is old enough that she could have sat down and had a beer with us - she was in the 8th grade when I first started at my current school 10 years ago, and I've had two of her sisters in choir, too. I was glad to see her working - she went through some rough family drama, but she looked good and seemed relaxed and cheerful, so it seems like she came out the other side okay.
Sorry forgot to mention this earlier.... yay! Guss is back!!!!

Okay I blended up my soup.... had a bowl, and now Im having some oatmeal and tea... lol weird I know!
Well Im not sure, and its almost 6pm!!! LOL I didnt get anything out for dinner! I did make some WW veg soup, so I will have some of that, and DH can have left over spaghetti

I have an eye appointment at 3 today. After they put the drops in my eyes (which I hate) I won't be able to do much so I'll head home. Planning on putting a pork tenderloine into the oven and perhaps a couple of sweet potatoes. That way I can just close my eyes till the drops wear off and I can see again.
It is Webster's 15th birthday today - he is going to have fish for dinner!
