Wednesday Supper?

Anything planned yet?

Not really here.   Jeff and I are eating together and I didn't lay anything out to cook.   I won't get home until about 5:45 anyway, and I don't like spending out limited time cooking.   We will go out somewhere.

We never had one here, but we used to eat at the one in Cincinnati while there for swim meets.   It's been gone for years.   I don't know of any others around here.

We use to have one around here in the early 80's. It has been gone for a long time. I do remember the funky decor and I also remember liking being able to get one bowl of pasta with two different sauces.

Tracy is right - it is a pretty hard Greek cheese - you grate it fine and use a LOT on the spaghetti. I first had it at The Old Spaghetti Factory. It is REALLY good, especially with all that artery-clogging browned butter. YUM. Anybody else been to an Old Spaghetti Factory? There are a bunch on the West Coast, but I am not sure where else. They are often in rehabbed warehouses, and usually have an antique trolley car inside that has a few tables in it. Lots of funky old-fashioned wing-back chairs, chandeliers and antique-y stuff. Fun, and cheap, too.

We ended up with hot dogs, with bacon and cheese! yum! I also made a banana, strawberry, pineapple smoothie with lots of spinach! could only drink half of it, before the texture was getting to me... so DH finished off mine...

Not Cara, but it's a cheese.  I had never heard of it before hearing Cara talk about it.   I have looked for it in stores, specifially the cheese shop area, but never seen it in any store here.

Jeff and I went to our neighborhood bar place so I could watch the Reds game.   We both got burgers.

I didn't get anything out, so I told DH is was tacos, spaghetti, or beef and noodles.  I know which one he'll pick, but we'll see for sure when I talk to him later.

Tristan is on the schedule for pasta with browned butter and mizythra - I have conferences until 7:30, so I won't be home for dinner.
