Weekend Plans?

We made it to Friday.  Anything going on this weekend?

I am wrapping up a long week of training.   But I'll get home, take DD to a friend's house for a slumber party, and come back home to suit up for work.   Our third football game in three weeks.

Tomorrow I have to go get DD and take her to a volunteer event with her softball team.   Then, I have the day off.   All day.   I may clean out the huge storage barn in my yard.   If it's not sweltering hot that is.

Saturday night- nothing.   Not one thing.   I cannot wait.  The kids and I will do something fun for supper, maybe homemade pizzas, and then we'll get a Redbox movie.  Jeff went to his mountain house in West Virginia for the weekend.

Sunday we will finally make it back to church.   DD has softball that afternoon so I will even get to run.

And somewhere in there I get to clean, go to the grocery, and do the laundry.

Tracy it sounds like a nice relaxing weekend for you!  Enjoy it!

I'll skip out of work an hour early and hit the "Y" for a much needed stress relief Zumba workout.  Then home to make dinner.

Saturday morning I need to do laundry and a few things at home.  This Saturday is the 1st in the Bushnel Theatre Brodway Show series.  I'll meet up with 3 of my cousins for a performance of "Mary Poppins".  Should be fun.  Saturday night we may go out for a quick bite or we may eat home.

Sunday morning I will hit the "Y" for my back to back Zumba and Aqua Zumba workout classes.  Then I will need to get in a grocery store run and a stop to get some fall plants to decorate the walkway and front porch.  Sunday night will be relaxing and getting ready to head back to the zoo on Monday.

Tonight we are going to my hubby's great-niece's 1st birthday party.  Jenna is such a sweetie...

It doesn't start til 6:30 pm so I am thinking we should eat supper before we get there?  What do y'all think?  If a party is after 6:00 pm I think there is no supper being served... just cake & ice cream... but maybe I'm wrong?  Since the party is later, I probably won't get home until 8 or 8:30 tonight.

Tomorrow morning is family breakfast then I need to pick up my house... it is not real bad because I am trying to keep it clean from all the deep cleaning we did last week.  Also need to do laundry and make a menu then grocery shop.

Saturday evening we will probably be able to spend some time with my awesome grandchildren... I love Saturday nights when Amber & Nick go to his sisters to watch a "blue ray" movie... lol.  I don't get the draw of blue ray but I will take it if it means I get to love on my babies!

Sunday is church and then football Sunday at Amy's house... Amy is Mary's SIL, their husbands are brothers.  It is BYOF this week... we decided that in order to save some money (we are all strapped lately) we would only do our big dinners once a month.  So, no big cooking job... just stop by Subway on the way there to pick up subs.  We will also bring our own drinks and a dessert if we want one.

We'll probably come home around 6-ish and then I'll get myself prepared, physically and mentally, for work Monday morning!

Daisy - 6:30 is a hard one.  I always say after 7, because I don't get home from work and getting the girls until 5:15.  There's nights I dont' have supper on the table until 6:30!  I always try to add something about it if I am or not serving a meal.  And a 1st birthday party is hard to tell too, because that was the one birthday that I would serve the full meal at.  Sorry, I know that no help at all!

Tonight we're going to visit my parents at the camp ground.  They are camping at the annual Fall Festival and they have crafts, plants, tractors on display, wood carvings etc.  And this weekend is perfect camping weather too!  High of 70, low of 48 today!  I can't wait to sit around the camp fire tonight!!

Tomorrow my sister and I are going to a "mom sale".  It's basically a big garage sale in a school gym.  But it's only kids clothes and furniture.  Sizes newborn to 16.  I hope I can score some good running shoes for Natalie and winter stuff for the girls.

Sunday is the Bengals/Browns game.  The big Ohio rivalry.  We'll watch the game at home probably.

Somewhere in there is DH mowing grass and the usual cleaning, laundry, etc.

Susan... what a coincidence... Amber just called me to see if I'd watch the kids after family breakfast tomorrow so she can go to the local "Mom to Mom" sale. Too funny... Good Luck, hope you get some great bargains!

Shelly, it seems like you and Waylon both have so much down time when you are in Pitt that I think I'd work out something with the teacher so he doesn't fall behind.   Surely he can use some of that time to read or work on school handouts.   In the age of faxes and scanners and printers it would be easy enough for the teacher to do.  I'd sure be asking them to work with me.   I don't know why they wouldn't.

It's PetSmart national adoptathon weekend, so I have another PetSmart offsite adoption to work for the shelter.  Two weekends, back to back.

Moe Jackson Pug and Pretaine (Amy's Pug) both had vet visits today.  Pre just has a hot spot that wasn't healing.  Amy dropped Pre off at my house last night while I was at the theater.  His appointment was at 11:15 and then I drove him home and put him in the apartment.

Moe has this mysterious apricot-sized swelling on the left side of his face.  He had surgery on it to drain it last month, but now it has returned.  Finally got Moe in to see his ususal vet, who has seen Moe as long as I've had him.  Dr. S. has a completely different opinion on this thing!  He thinks there is a blockage in Moe's salivary gland.  On antibiotics waiting for the culture to come back.

Moe's adoption anniversary is tomorrow.  He came to live here 11 years ago.

And I really need to get started working on Pug-o-ween costumes.  Just about a month away.

That hospital is great, Shelly.   I love that they have teachers there for the kids.   Sounds perfect.   I knew his school would work with you too.   I can't imagine one that wouldn't.
