Weekend Plans

Sounds like a good first day of retirement, Gaye. Glad Moe cooperated on the walk back to the car.

Okay, of all those things I needed to accomplish yesterday.... I got NONE of them accomplished! After family breakfast, Amber asked if I would watch the kids while her and Ashleigh went shopping for Natalee's birthday gift (I completely forgot about my hubby's great niece's 3rd birthday party). I told them only if they would pick up a gift for me too.... (but of course I would have either way, I just can't say no!). After they came back, I wrapped up what they bought (a Tangled magic wand with bubbles in it and some Tangled jewelry accessories, Natalee is obsessed with Tangled. Then my sister in law came over to visit until the time for the party (5:00 pm). We didn't get back from the party until almost 8:00 pm and then Amber & Nick came over to drop the kids off so they could go to their weekly get-together with NIck's sister & her hubby to watch a movie. They do it so late so that they can put their kids to bed, but that leaves Luke with nobody to play with. Plus, Nick's BIL likes the lights off (they have this huge screen tv and it's supposed to be more "theater like") so that means Luke would have to play in the dark! So, we started keeping him and now both of them.

So, that explains why I didn't get one thing done on my list..... I need to at least clean up my nasty kitchen and get some laundry done today. I doubt I will be asked to watch the kids today since they were so busy yesterday. But, if they do call .... there goes the laundry & dishes!
