Today I have to go to the store and get stuff for Christmas dinner, I might go look at guns with David just to be nice....but I really don't want to.

Tomorrow is CHRISTMAS EVE!!!! We have a lazy day planned until about 4 when we need to head to church. They do 2 candle light services one is for kids or kid friendly the other is traditional and peaceful. We will go to the kid friendly one. Mom is going to come with us to church, and then we will go out to eat afterwards. Probably at the restaurant Mom works at. Then we will come home, have bath time, and David will put together the stuff for Evey, Mom is spending the night so then we will put Evey to bed and set up.

Sunday we will open presents, and depending on how long that take we might go to church afterwards. Then we will hang out and such until dinner, not really sure if anybody is coming over or not.

Ours is one service too, its a traditional service(we go to the non-traditional service normally) so I don't either. It depends for us what time we get done with presents and stuff. I wonder if the Christmas Eve service counts as going to church for the week?

Tracy...if you don't enjoy the altered service, do not go... It's not like you have to be in a church house to celebrate Christ's birth. Our church is having 3 services on Christmas Eve and 2 in Christmas day. Trying to accommodate so more people can go to one. But even with all those choices, we probably won't get to go. Maybe the 7 or 9 pm service Christmas Eve but definitely not Christmas day. My sister said she'd go with us but not sure how she's going to feel after flying in and arriving @ 5:30 pm that day. We will see....

Okay, yeah, I've got a few things going this weekend...lol.

Today, I am working like a mad woman (just like I did yesterday) to get my house ready for my out of town guests who will be here for 10 days. Still have to finish vacuum the basement floor and cobwebs, need to finish cleaning my little bathroom. I'm ashamed to say I let that room go too far before I clean it...its where I do my hair & make up every day so I leave everything out so I have easy access. There is hairspray on the door and floor that I will probably have to sandpaper off. Then I move to my car...it is atrocious... Got a mess of toys for Luke to play with in there and all kinds of other crap. It needs a good vacuum and the inside Windows washed. Got to clean all the doggy paw and nose prints off my patio door in the dining room.

I hope to get all that done today and then tonight I can finish up my wrapping and hopefully wrap all the stuff my sister had delivered here so she won't have to.

Saturday morning I will be making macaroni and cheese to take to hubby''s nephews house @ 2:00. We celebrate with them until 6 or so. My dad is picking up my SIS, BIL & KK at the airport around 5:30... He will bring them here and then go get my mom from her Christmas Eve service. Hopefully we'll get home in time to make it to 7:00 service but if not, maybe the 9:00 service..... But we are not going to kill ourselves to make it to one.

Christmas morning, Amber, Nick & Luke will come over for breakfast and presents. Of course my sis, BIL & KK will be here too and maybe my parents. Amber & fam will leave to go spend time w/ Nick family and be back here for supper around 5:00 then stay the rest of evening hopefully play games too.

I think I would have to be the DR for Guss & Tracy cuz my hubby would be right there w/ Jeff & David. What is it w/guys h guns anyway? Lol

Tracy and Guss - I am with Daisy, it is not like God is keeping score on church attendance!

We are totally blowing off Christmas Day services, and would blow off the Sunday between Christmas and New Years, whether it was Christmas Day or not. We attend the service that is most meaningful to us, and we spend Christmas Day with our family. Period. Our church is having only one service on Christmas Day, too. I am sure there will be a message, as well as communion, but the focus will be Christmas hymns. We have NEVER gone to Christmas Day services, not once in my entire life. And considering how hardcore my folks were about attending every Sunday, that is surprising.

We let the girls open their presents from each other this morning. They did such a good job picking presents for each other and keeping them a secret. So cute!

Last night dh and i went out to dinner without kids. They slept the entire time our neighbor was babysitting. The restaurant was slow, so they rushed out our dinner. One waiter was bringing our dinner while the other cleared our appetizer plates. So, dinner was great, but we were done in an hour. I used my Groupon and my parents had sent us money for Christmas, so dinner cost us about $10! The food was awesome. We drove around and looked at Christmas lights after we walked around downtown looking at the lights.

Today we'll all walk to the park and then I will be making taco dip and veggie dip and breakfast casserole for tomorrow. We are going to drive around this evening to look at Christmas lights with the kids and then set out cookies for santa. We have to put toys together at some point too.

Tomorrow is presents and breakfast and playing with toys and snacking and dinner and hopefully a nice long naptime in there somewhere!
