Weekend Plans?

Whoot!!  We made it to Friday.  What's going on with y'all this weekend?

Tonight I have to work overtime.  I get off work at 4:00 and have to be back by 6:00.  We'll be there until 10:30-11:00.  This is why I hate high school football.

The ex is keeping the kids until I get off work.  Then I'll go get them.  I'll be catching a second wind by then and likely be up for a while.  The kids have been on a huge paranormal show kick.  We have a DVR full of Paranormal State, Ghost Adventures, My Ghost Story, etc.  They will probably want to watch some of that.  Okay by me.  I like them too.

Then tomorrow morning I'll do a big breakfast with them and DD and I will be on the road by 11:00.  I went to Krogers during her softball practice last night and got all the food stuff we need: water, Gatorade, bananas, strawberries, pretzels, and beer.  The essentials for a softball road trip.  She plays at 2:00 and 5:00, about 1.5 hours away.  We have a hotel room for Saturday night.  That's where the pretzels and beer come in.  I love my softball parent friends.  We have a great time together.  Tropical Depression Isaac now needs to stay away from our ball park.

Sunday DD plays until they lose.   I hope it's at least 2 games, but it won't hurt my feelings to get home at a decent hour.

DS will stay home with his dad.   He's not real excited about that but it is what it is.  His dad is taking him to his parent's house on Sunday for his (DS's) birthday.  The girl is elated she is missing it.   Daniel, "That's not fair.  Why does she get to miss it when I had to go to hers?"   Their dad just doesn't see that they hate going to his parent's house because they are treated liked red-headed stepchildren there.

Sunday night is DS's birthday party.  He has 12 boys from school or the ball park coming up to our church for the night.  They have done this 3 years now.  They have the run of the gym and the Youth rooms.   They spend the night there.  I'm glad the ex is there with 13 10-year old boys and I don't have to be.  I will take DD and her quiet friend Margaret all day compared to that. Which we will do, provided we are home from softball in enough time for the girls to get together.

Monday DS is going fishing with his friend after his slumber party.  I'll get my laundry, grocery run, and house cleaning done that day.

I think I am a dollar short and a day late but Happy Birthday to the Birthday Boys!

Daisy I agree with Tracy.  Do not clean the pool this weekend.  It's still summer.  It can wait till next weekend!

Have no idea what I am going to do today but I do have a load of wah going already and I do need to get myself to the grocery store.  I'll see if the "patient" wants to take a little ride someplace just to get him out of the house for a bit.  Hope he does not suggest going to see his folks.  I am really not up to making small talk with seniors today.  Not that I don't love them I do, but I have had enough of listening to seniors this week at work.  I'm burnt out.

Happy birthdays to Luke and Susan's John.  I am sure Luke will love his loot.  And I armed RA too when I started getting Daniel Nerf guns.   It makes sense.

Susan, too cool on the 5K.  Good luck to Nat.

And Daisy, just say no to cleaning the pool.  Make summer last.  It's 90° here today.  Not time to shut down the pool.

Daisy I am glad to hear your Mom is willing to see the oncologist.  I had a feeling she would once the news had time to register.

Today is DH's birthday.  We both took the day off of work.  We went out to breakfast this morning and then down to Sam's Club.  Came home and now we're fixing to do NOTHING!  His brother, cousin and her boyfriend are coming over tonight.

Sunday morning Nat is running her first 5K.

We're waiting to see how much rain we get from Isaac too.  Sat is 60%, Sun 60%, and Mon 40%.  Guess we'll have to stock up on movies and be lazy!

Today I am leaving at 1:30 to take my mom to a dr. appointment.  She heard from her primary yesterday and was told the results of the 3 remaining test that were taken during her biopsies.  She is estrogen and progesteron negative (so taking Tamoxifan and/or Arimidex will not help her) and she is Her2Neu positive (so she could take Herceptin which would help slow down the cancer) and I think the office gal that called her kind of scared her so she is seeing an oncologist today to see what he recommends.

Today is Luke's birthday, I cannot believe that boy is 2 already!!  Tonight is his party at 6:30.  I still have to wrap his presents... hubby DID get a Nerf gun.. actually he got Luke 2 of them... I had my suspicions so I said, "You got Luke TWO Nerf guns????"  To which he replied, "Well, I need one too so we can shoot each other!"  LOL  I also got him a helicopter he loved at the Cracker Barrel, some stickers... he has been on a sticker kick lately, a toy bowling pin & bowling ball set, some bouncy balls and some army men with plastic parachutes attached that you throw in the air and the parachute fills with air and the man comes slowly down... I think he will love those.

Not sure how long his party will last because Nick's family really doesn't ever stay long... but mine does.  We have family breakfast tomorrow and I bet my mom will be worn out after the dr. visit so they will probably not stay as long as they normally would.

Tomorrow morning, family breakfast, and then tomorrow evening Michigan is playing Alabama in Dallas so we are going over to Mary & Danny's son Brad's house to watch it.  My hubby was offered a ticket to go to the game but there was no way we could afford for him to fly to Dallas and pay $125 for the ticket.  He was bumming....

Sunday is church and then Football Sundays begin..... the guys will have their Fantasy Football draft and us girls will do something else... not sure what... the draft is at Mary's house this year.  After the draft, I am sure the guys will watch football but I don't want to stay out too late.

Monday morning, I plan to get up early and just relax.... I will have to do laundry and clean some but I'm okay with that.  I can relax inbetween!  IF MY HUBBY DOESN'T BUG ME ABOUT GETTING THE POOL READY FOR WINTER... LOL

Tracy  your weekend sounds pretty mild compared to a lot of the ones you have had lately.  It actually sounds like a nice fun weekend to me especially the "Big Kids Party" at the hotel Saturday night.

I really have nothing planned for this weekend.  Just the normal laundry, grocery run etc.  I'll pretty much be keeping my recovering husband company and entertained.  My family Labor Day get together is Sunday at the lake but I am not so sure we will go.  If we do it will be just a very short visit.  If John is still on his heavy pain meds I will make him stay put.  If he is up for a ride and a short visit we might try it.  Personally I would rather we not go.  He does not need anyone accidently bumping into him and there are usually a lot of people there.  Besides I could use a weekend of not doing much or going any where.  I am pooped!
