Weekend Plans?
Fri, 01-18-2013 - 8:00am

Got anything going on this weekend?

As you all know, I am going snow tubing in Canaan Valley, West Virginia.   We will leave about 10:00 this morning.   I think we are stopping in Charleston for some Cabela's shopping.   Then on to the mountains.

I will be home Sunday afternoon.   Remember this area is no boats, no life (sort of), and no motor cars, not a single luxury, so I doubt I will be around much at all, if any.

But, it's a 3-day weekend (4 for me).   It's MLK Day Monday.   The kids and I will say up late Sunday night, after I spend the day cleaning, and we'll get into something on Monday.

We don't have anything planned.  Tomorrow DH's cousin is bringing the pressure canner over, so I can can some beef broth.  I get some beef for boiling in our beef we get every year.  About time to use it up and make some homemade beef broth!  Sunday my nephew is bowling so we may go watch him.  Thanks about it.  Cleaning and laundry.

I set Brooks to school today.  Did I say I picked her up early yesterday?  I can't remember.  Her belly hurt.  She came home, curled up on the couch and felt better this morning.  I'm assuming I'll get a call at some point.

Have fun Tracy!!  Sounds like a blast.

No real "set" -plans. I am supposed to go to Waylon's class at 2:00 today to help with the social studies fair projects. But dad's truck is down, he and a buddy are working on it, so he may still have the car to run to get parts etc.

Tomorrow, will be laying more flooring and working on the renovation. Maybe I trip into town for something for dinner.

Sunday, Jan and Marilyn are coming. They are headed to WV today to my great aunt Marlene's house, gonna stay there and then come up here on Sunday and stay a few days. The boys have Monday off as well.

Tonight I am going to Amber's for a game night with my 2 girls, my SIL Glenda, her daughter Ranae & Ranae's daughter, Tori... just the 6 of us girls (I HOPE!).  Ranae has a step-son who is 13 who is VERY annoying!  Why in the world he would want to come to a girls only game night is beyond me but the last time we did it, sure enough... he showed up too!  It was really irritating....he is very moody and acts like a baby.  Anyway... if he does show up, I see an early trip back home for me!  My girls bought a new game... QUELF.... anybody play that?

Tomorrow morning nothing scheduled except Ashleigh swore up and down to her dad last night (I was already in bed & asleep) that she seen a mouse.  So... we will go on a hunt and make sure there are no places in the house that a mouse could hide out and start a family!  I hate when this happens..... we've only had this problem a few times but I guess that's one of the drawbacks of living next to a huge field/wooded area.

Tomorrow evening I am pretty sure we will be watching my grandbabies...

Sunday is church and then probably football.... laundry and probably a trip to the grocery store.

It was fun, Shelly..... And, of course, I just HAD to draw all the crazy "stunts" or "roolz" cards and do the following nutty things:

* Dance (a slow dance like we were at a high school prom) with Ashleigh until the timer ran out.
* Pretend I was covered in hot lava but not be able to say or write anything (but I could scream) until the timer ran out.
* Sing a song with someone's name in it replacing the name with someone at the table's name until the timer ran out.
* Laugh uncontrollably until someone asks "What's so funny?" and when they do, say, "I have no idea."
* Sit on Ashleigh's lap while she pretended to be a ventriliquist (and me the dummy) and I had to move my mouth and my head to whatever she talked about.
* Stand up, take off an article of clothing and swing it around over my head while singing "Rawhide."

And last but not least.... I had to put the box of the game inside my shirt until I drew another "roolz" card (but I never did so I had that stupid box in my shirt til the game ended).

It was fun but I really got to thinking that someone was playing a cruel joke on me after a while... but, actually, I rolled my own dice so there was no way.  I will recommend this game to everyone....
