Weekend Plans?

What's on the agenda this weekend?

Tonight I told my friend I'd go with her to see that her squatter renter has really vacated her property.   The house is close to me. Jeff will probably go too.   He thinks it's crap that her hubby doesn't help her on any of this mess.

Jeff and I have then plans to go out for dinner with 3 other couples.   We are headed to a Mexican place.   I hope no one cancels, saying the roads are too slick.  DD keeps asking me if she can come to my house after Jeff and I are done.   She really dislikes staying at her dad's house.   We'll see how that goes.   He may say yes, maybe no.   With her spending all day today with him (since it's a snow day from school and he is off work) he may say yes.   If that happens she and I will stay up too late watching a chick movie.   I have 2 from Christmas I want to watch with her, "When Harry Met Sally" and "The Best Little Whorehouse in Texas."   I loved the Whorehouse as a kid.   We had the soundtrack on cassette and it was one of out family favorites for vacation traveling.   I owned Harry and Sally and loaned it out years ago.   I don't remember who borrowed it, but I never saw it again.

Saturday I will get DD to softball practice.   After that, assuming the squatter really leaves, Jeff and I will meet my friend back at her house to assess what all needs to be done to clean it up.   Jeff is going to do all her handyman jobs for her.   She knows the bathroom floor has to be replaced.   The squatter overran the bathtub, fell asleep, months ago and didn't clean it up.  The floor is rotted.  Jeff can fix that.  She and I will tackle the cleaning.  We will dash from there to get DD and on to DS's basketball game.   My friend will go too as her son plays on the team we are playing.   I bet we end up out to lunch from there.   And then back to the house to clean.   I am not too confident that her squatter will be out though.

Saturday night night, no idea.   I may have my kids.   Their dad may keep them.   Guarantee DD wants to come here.

Sunday is church, grocery, and cleaning.  And a workout of some kind.   Maybe a DVD, maybe running.

Well, Huntington is adorable, but busy, busy, busy.  Looks and acts like Amy's pug who will be 3 in April.  I really think Huntington is more like 5-6.  I had him just about 24 hours.  His adopter came at 2:45 this afternoon, signed the adoption contract, and left with him.  He is going home to meet his new sister, TuLup.

I am really glad I didn't have him long.  He was too active for this pack.

Kelsie's going to a friend's at noon for a few hours. Baylie is going to a dance tonight and wants to go shopping and meet a friend there. Then that friend is coming home with us for the night. They will go to the dance together. Then Baylie is going to a neighbor's house for Super Bowl. She's my friend that I walkwith and has a daughter who is a year older. She is hosting 9th & 10th graders from her church. Some of Baylie's good friends will be there from her middle school. She will have fun. We will be watching the Super Bowl at home. Pulling for the 49er's. Not a Ray Lewis fan or a Ravens fan.

I can always remember Presley's birthday because she shares it with Jeff.

Why do all these kids keep aging?   We don't, do we?

Oh crap, thanks for the reminder, Sandy.... I temporarily forgot the Super Bowl was Sunday.... ugh...I have a lot of cooking to do this week-end...

Today at 3:00 I have a dr. appointment.  Ashleigh is going to come and get Amber and pick up the kids and then they are dropping off the kids to me because they are going shopping for stuff for Presley's 1st birthday party in a few weeks (I CANNOT BELIEVE IT!!).

Tomorrow morning I hope to sleep in a little but I have a feeling I will be working in the basement... will find out what our insurance adjuster says tonight about helping with the clean up.

Tomorrow evening I am having my parents, Amber & Nick and Sheryl & her family over for tacos.  My dad's birthday was January 27th and my mom's is February 12th so I always invite them over for "birthday tacos" somewhere between the two dates to celebrate.

Sunday is church then I will need to go to the store to pick up stuff for Super Bowl over at Mary's house.  Then come home to cook it before heading over to party central....  I am taking heart attacks, some dessert and a new recipe I found... "buffalo cauliflower."  I hope it turns out good!

Not much for tonight - dinner at home and probably try to get some laundry done.

Saturday if my Dad is up for it I will take him out for a late breakfast/early lunch.  Then grocery store run.  Should be fun because 1 - they are calling for snow on Sunday so the stores will be packed and 2 - Sunday is Super Bowl so the "men" will be clogging up the grocery stores getting their "snacks".

Saturday night we are taking the in-laws out to dinner along with a few of my DH's cousins.  It will be their 65th wedding anniversary on Thursday the 7th.

Sunday will be going to the "Y" in the am and then home.  Calling for snow on Sunday and we will just stay put inside with the fireplace on.  Of course we will have Super Bowl Sunday food and watch some of the game.
