Weekend Plans?
Fri, 02-08-2013 - 7:24am

What's going on this weekend?

Tonight I actually get to see Jeff.  It’s been a busy week and neither of us had time to get together.   I miss him.

I think we are either going to our neighborhood bar place or get a big pizza from a non-chain place by here.   Either way, it’s for sure cheat day for me.   I have done well this week and I’m good with that.

Saturday I have to work at 3:00.   The ex has the kids tonight and until tomorrow evening.   He gets to do the softball run- yay!  I will get the grocery run done in the morning and maybe go help my friend clean her rental house.   Her squatter finally left.   After she had him served with eviction papers, giving him a court date that is.

After work I am going to my son’s basketball game.   He plays at 5:15.   When we get home I’ll make us tacos and we’ll watch a movie, maybe play a board game.

Sunday is church, cleaning, and homework.   DD has to get a book read by next week.   She is reading A Time to Kill by Grisham.   DS has a History Fair project to work on.   He’s doing the Salem witch trials.   I think I may make a big batch of homemade spaghetti sauce during the day Sunday.

All of this sounds better than digging out of the blizzard like Sandy.   Oof!

Today I have to clean the house and do loaundry and get it all put away. The house is a wreck and I have been slacking trying to take care of P and make sure he is ok, and I didn't disturbe him while he was resting.

I have nothing planned for tomorrow. I'll finish up what ever I don't get done today.

Sunday, I am meeting my friend Shannon and her daughter, her Aunt Linda and her childhood friend Kim at the dress shop and try on bridesmaid dresses. I DREAD it!! I look awful in dresses, I am short waisted (as well as being fat) and they just do not flatter me.  Oh well, I will do it for her!!!

We will have lunch out at Hibatchi Grill. It is a Japanese Steak house and they cook right in front of you, like this:

I LOVE it, wonderful food.

I also will have to stop at Home Depot and pick up a few more boxes of flooring so i can do the kitchen and hallway. I can't wait!!!!!!

What am I doing this weekend - well let me see now -

Going into work this am and plan on leaving no later than 1:00 pm.  Hunkering down tonight as the blizzard roles through - dinner at home tonight

Saturday - I will more than likely be housebound while they clean up 1 - 2 feet of snow off the roads etc once the storm stopps in the morning.  If we do not lose power I'll get the laundry done, some cleaning, probably watch a movie - read on my Kindle - dinner most at home.

Sunday - if all goes well I will "get out of the house"!!!!

Plans for the weekend?

Power through today - I just got a new general music expo class (9 weeks) and they are horrible. Actually, about 6 of the boys are. Somehow this class wound up with 18 boys and only 4 girls. A bunch of those boys would be okay no matter who was in their class, a few more that are causing trouble are just following Satan's Spawn down the road to hell. I feel bad for those good kids, because S.S. are in there screwing things up for them - they just cannot keep their mouths shut for anything! I usually get a honeymoon week with every new class, but it was clear on the first day what this one was going to be like..... and I hear the next class coming to me is just as bad. I miss my first two quarter classes - they were awesome - one or two tough kids in each class, but that is manageable. Cry

Saturday Tristan has pep band for a basketball playoff game. Playoffs are the only time the band plays away games.  Saturday night Erick and I are going to the symphony chorus concert - expect we will go to dinner before hand. Erick has to work Valentine's, so this is it for us!

Sunday we will probably blow off church, since it will be a late night. Sunday night my church choir rehearses.

In between? Lots of laundry and housecleaning.

Tonight we are going for dinner and drinks at a friends house.  Been friends with her since diapers.  I'm really looking forward to it!

Tomorrow is Brooklyn's 7th birthday!  Nothing big planned.  Grandparents are coming over at 2pm for cake and ice cream.  She has asked for pot-pie (like the dumplings), mashed potatoes, corn, and applesauce.

Sunday we have nothing planned. :)

Well, to continue my lack of boredom in retirement - LOL

I have small group Bible study this evening.

Then I have to get up at 6:30 tomorrow to go to the shelter and ready the dogs for the remote adoption at PetSmart we do on the second and fourth Saturday of each month.  I'll follow the trailer to PetSmart, help unload and stay awhile, but I have to leave early because...

Between 1-3 DFW Pug Rescue has an event at Rahr Brewery in Fort Worth. (They make Ugly Pug Beer), and a professional photographer is coming to take pictures of pugs available for adoption.  I will be taking Roo Ben for his photoshoot.  I think he will be photogenic.

For $10 we get three beers, a souvenir glass to keep, and a tour of the brewery.  There will also be pug items for sale and a pug kissing booth.  Sounds like a fun time.  Too bad I don't like beer.
