Weekend Plans?

What's going on this weekend?

Tonight Jeff and I are going out to eat. He has an Olive Garden gift card from a neighbor for watching the neighbor's house (taking in his papers and mail) for two weeks. I bet we end up there. Later tonight I will get DD from her dad. She'll stay with me tonight as DS has a Robotics competition to go to in the morning. It's about 30 minutes away and they have to be there at 7:45. They race Lego robots at these things. It's DS's first one. He loves Robotics Club.

I'll get DD to softball in the morning, then have 3 hours before I have to get her. I may go get my toenails done. And then I'll hit the grocery.

Assuming DS doesn't advance far in his Robotics event, he has a basketball game at 3:00.

After that the kids will go home with their dad. Jeff and I are off to the George Strait concert. I love George Strait and when I heard this is his farewell, "The Cowboy Rides Away" tour, I knew we had to go.

Sunday I will get the kids and go to church. After that I have cleaning, laundry, and baseball practice for DS.

How far is it to Anchorage from where you live, Linda?

A friend's daughter is in the university production of Fiddler on the Roof, and I went with her and some other people to see it Thursday night.  It was great.

Last evening, I went to see the all-youth production of OZ at the community theater where I have season tickets.  The theater-school kids did great!

This morning, I was supposed to be at Pugpalooza at a dog park in a nearby town with my foster pug.  Unfortunately, Roo Ben has recently spent 24 hours at the vet clinic because he is having trouble walking.  He is 32 pounds, and I can't carry him.  We had temps in the 30's this morning, and I have a nasty head cold.  So, all considered, I decided to skip it.  The animals got me up at 6:15 this morning.  I let the dogs out, fed everyone, gave Roo Ben his pill, took another NuQuil and went back to bed.  Slept until nearly 10 AM.

I have small group Bible study this afternoon from 4-6.

Tomorrow evening, we are celebrating the grandsons' birthdays at PF Chang.  I hope to feel well enough to enjoy it.

Sometime, I have to finish organizing my income tax documents and take them to the accountant.  My goal is to get them there by Tuesday morning at the latest.  I never get to file before March 1 because one organization doesn't get their correct 1099 to me until the end of February.

It is about 50 miles in to Anchorage.  The town that I'm closest to is 5 miles away, but sometimes I go to costco for big bags of certain things, in which I am now totally out of.  So I am debating, but now it is almost noon. LOL, maybe I waited to long huh?  Should have left a couple hours ago.   Well, there is also tomorrow.  It is also open on Sundays so that may be better and maybe it will be cloudy by then.
Have a good weekend everyone.

Hope you make it there sometime this weekend, Linda.

For those of you that aren't familiar with her, Linda is also a Foodie CL on another board. Which one escapes me now and they aren't listed anywhere I can see. So, suffice to say Linda may be new here, but she's an old head Foodie. It's great to have her here.

Welcome Linda! We're happy to have you here. I would love to hear more about Alaska. How long have you been there? What brought you there? Just curious.
