Fresh Corn with Green Peppers

10 ears fresh corn
1 large onion, chopped
1/2 c. green pepper, chopped
2 Tbsp. butter or margarine
1 tomato, cut up
1/4 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. ground red pepper
1/4 tsp. black pepper

Cut corn from cob, not too close to cob. Scrape cob with spoon or dull knife to remove remaining corn. Yields about 4 to 4 1/2 cups. Saute onion and green pepper in butter until tender. Stir in corn, tomato, salt and pepper. Reduce heat. Cover and cook until corn is tender, about 30 minutes. Season salt to taste.
