8 ounces fusili (spiral) pasta
6 tablespoons olive oil
2 cloves garlic, sliced
½ cup grated Parmesan cheese, divided
1 teaspoon chopped fresh parsley
Bring a large pot of lightly salted water to a boil. Add pasta and cook for 8 to 10 minutes or until al dente. Drain, then return to pot. Heat oil in a large heavy skillet over medium heat. Saute garlic for 5 minutes. Remove garlic slices, and discard.
