Living With Un-Founded Guilt...

Whether we have a Physical Disability or a Mental Health Disability, it seems we live with unnecessary guilt.

I was wondering what "Others" thought about this.

I am getting better, and learning to cut myself some slack.

Dealing with Anxiety/Depression and other Chronic Illnesses has been very difficult.

Thanks for your input Molly.

Since her hospitalization last year my dd feels like she is more of one but she isn't!

How absolutely true!

My dd is feeling this way, like she's a "Burden" but she is so not!

She's feeling really down.

I will definitely agree with that, Piananana. I don't even know if it's so much guilt as feeling like a burden when, in fact, those that offer or agree to help out don't think that way at all. We ARE much more hard on ourselves. Nice to see you!

I think we all need to cut ourselves some slack. I go out of my way to not make myself a nusance to anyone because I feel like I am all the time, yet I don't feel the same way about family members or friends with chronic illnesses. I think we are harder on ourselves than anyone else is.
