I have RA

I have had RA for some time now. It has not "crippled" me in any way as yet. The fingers on my right hand has had small "bumps" on the middle joint and they've been that way for years. They are caused by arthritis - bone spurs is what the doctor told me. However, over time they have not gotten any larger and they are not painful. And, thank goodenss, they are barely noticable. I've also had RA in my spine for years and though I do have chronic back pain, I keep it in check by over-the-counter drugs. There is always hope for someone with RA. Newer treatment options and prescription drugs are the order of the day. I'm fortunate to have a high tolerance to pain and a will to work through it. Not everyone can say that because we're not all the same. Arthritis affects ach of us differently - your pain may be worse than mine and what works for me may not work for you. Just thought I'd share my story. Big hugs to all of you who suffer with arthritis!
