Do those of you with arthritis in your feet/legs have any sort of special shoes to help with the pain? Can you tell me about them like what brand, what kind of price you pay and why you are using that particular brand?

I am sure Molly or one of the others here have much more information than I do...I am making an appointment with an occupational physiotherapist who can help with finding what's best for me...I have a lot of trouble with my feet and finding anything that doesn't hurt and is the most comfortable.

I have a pair of runners I wear that have a lot of extra sole between me and the ground and they have orthotics inside.

Some days I wear flip-flps inside my house to allow my feet to breathe but I cannot wear them outside for too long on my feet.

My other two prs. of runners I wear when I need something light or when my feet are really swollen badly...honestly sometimes it really doesn't matter because pain is something I am really very familiar with...:(...

I once had a really good pair of Dr. Scholl's for work they had a low back closed toe were white and a mint green and had a gel insole I loved them but wore them out...:)...

I'm sorry I haven't been around much.  Aside from the problems with signing in, I have a pinched nerve in my shoulder and neck and have been seeing a chiropractor for a few weeks now.  To answer your question, my recommendation would be to try Skechers Go Walks (the slip-ons) in a wide size.  I just got a pair and love them.  They are well-cushioned but extremely light and flexible.  I paid $59 for them at Kohl's.  Other than that, I think it's mostly trial and error.  I have purchased so many shoes that were said to be comfy and they weren't.  Hope that helps!
