I have started eating it, although it's not my favorite thing.
Well, I would ask, how much did you eat, and what was your bg before eating? I like 'sturms farms' no sugar added instant with cranberries. They also have a blueberry.. The nice thing about instant is the serving size is controlled. Read the nutrion labels.

I eat 100 whole oat groats...they take at least an hour to cook.
I use quick cooking oatmeal.
I alter between steamed rolled oats and instant oatmeal.
If you are not using a package oatmeal here is the serving size for oats: 3 tablespoons dry equals 15 grams of carbs. Be sure to add in your carbs from the milk and fruit (if used) to make sure you aren't surpised with your blood sugar.
