Called the doctor to get help getting hubby help

I called the doctor office and talked to the nurse about getting hubby in there to get tests and she aksed me questons and then said she thought it was a good idea to get him in. I got a date then went and told hubby what the nurse said. Because she said he needed to come in he is going to go.
To the other lady here who is having the same problem just call the doctor and explain your situatin. They might be able to help.
So now can anyone tell me what kind of tests are they gong to do and how long doesit take?

They should do a metabolic panel, which would include liver studies, cholesterol, thyroid, and fasting blood sugar and other things. Also an A1C which is a separate test. Any other tests would be determined from what the docotr sees when s/he examins him. He potentially will have a urine test done. All of these take several days to get the results and depending the results the doctor may want to see him again.
