I didn't make any resolutions as I am just trying to live as healthy as I can. If I were to make one it would be to continue to exercise and lose weight. How about you?
I don't really make any 'resolutions'. BUT I must get serious again on trying to get stteps in and watching closer what I eat.. I renew my license in April and my original goal was to weight what it says I do... and it should have been doable if not for this heel thing.
I found awhile back that Birkenstock were good for plantar facsitous. And I had a pair that I never could normally wear and so I got them out and boy, did they feel good on my heel. I recently bought a pair of birkenstock insoles to put in my New Balance shoes.. I am not 'heeled' but doing much better. In fact, I could not wear my emu slippers before, but now I can slip them on and they don't hurt!!! With any luck, my foot will be back to 'normal' by spring! In the meantime I am going to try to walk while watching tv. I found I can't walk in place and have my fitbit work, but if I walk forward about 4 steps and back those count!
Coldfingers, are you doing any exercises for your heel? When I had plantar fasciatis I sat with my foot extended out in front of me and flexed my foot.....did gentle stretches. It really helped, and I haven't had any problems for a few years. That is a terribly uncomfortable pain.
No excercises. I have not seen a dr about it just sort of self diagnosed. I remember having this happen before and it passed.... Tried to remember how long it took but don't think it was this long... I will try that.
The podiatrist told my sister to freeze a bottle of water and when her foot hurt to put the bottle under her foot and roll it back and forth to control the pain. She said it worked.
I find that marching in place with the Fitbit does count. I managed to drop the fitbit the other day and kicked under a cabinet. I didn't realize what I had done until I couldn't find it. I had to move this tall heavy cabinet to get it out and then it wouldn't work right. I thought I had finally bronken it but eventually I was able to tell it to stop and then everything went back to normal. I do like the Fitbit!!

I have Psoriasis/Ezcema so my feet have been pretty sore...
I have been wearing my flip-flops inside and it has helped my heels after wearing my boots or shoes...
