Do you suffer from allergies along with FM/CFS?

Just wondering, because I sure do, and it's like pollen gone wild around here.  I keep waking up to that lovely "hung over tramp" look, with my face puffy, dark circles, and a whiskey voice, aka, hoarse.  I keep telling my docs that if I'm going to wake up looking and feeling like I've had a wild, drunken night of revelry, I should at least occasionally feel up to actually DOING just that, lol.  I hate it, because not only do I have the usual symptoms of itchy, watery eyes and stuffy nose, I also get swollen glands, fluid in my ears, and I swell up, like I've gained about 4 lbs in just fluid retention in a few days.  My joints are also hurting, which I really hate, because I'm all stiff and clumsy.  I'm hoping to make it through Fall weed season this year without antibiotics and steroids, but so far, it's not looking too good.  My only "consolation" is that my poor DS is worse off this year than me, and has woken up looking like he was hit in the face with an airbag, or like a kid allergic to peanuts who ate a whole bag of the suckers.  Even his lips have been swollen!  All from pollen.

So, do YOU suffer from seasonal allergies?  Does it make your FM/CFS worse?  Do you also get wonky symptoms with your seasonal allergies?  Let me know!

I have to laugh because I have felt so much better without my "problem" around, it's not even funny. However, when it's allergy season, like now, my FM acts up, with pain and stiffness, nausea, and difficulty sleeping. As for work, yes, there are a huge number of older nurses who will be retiring soon, so I'm hoping the shortage of qualified people will result in better pay and benefits instead of longer hours and more stress, though I suspect a little of both will occur.

Sounds like the "fibro fog" to me, or having too many kids, but as yours all grown, I doubt that's the issue. :-) When I'm fatigued, hurting, not sleeping well, and generally blah, I can't find my own nose some days and having someone point out that it's on my face is just cause for a temper tantrum, so you may have gotten off easy, lol. Don't forget, some people are less stressed doing things the way they've always done them even if there are easier ways, like checking in on line, printing a boarding pass, etc. Personally, I don't get WHY it's easier for them to do things the "hard" way, but it just is.
