There's the music that I listen to when I do Reiki, as well as classical music. There are a couple albums by Elvis Costello and one by Marianne Faithfull that also help me get to my calm place.
Not sure there is any music that I deliberately choose to be calming --- I have been known to fall asleep in over-heated dark concert halls with some of the loudest, most disonant music playing! LOL Has to be the dark and the warm, don't you think?
I like to listen to certain groups and songs that have always meant a lot to me or that I find pleasing to listen to. Songs that make me feel upbeat are good too.
Oh yeah-I love John Denver. I have to take him in small doses these days though because sometimes I find myself a little down if I spend too much time listening to his music.

Hello, cmKarla,
mmm ... calming music ... my favourite from childhood, is Brahms ... adult life, too ...
and I could listen to the pop-song, 'I Like Dreaming,' too, for excellent coziness, properly accompanied ...
lullaby and goodnight ...
You?

Oh I love that song "I like dreaming"! Hahaha, I tend to stick to light pop hits or the type music you'd find on The Blend on Sirius Music.
