Has anyone tried drinking aloe very gel for dry skin? Does it work? I don't want to waste my money if it doesn't truly work.

Here is an article from an IV member who also does holistic practices.  It doesn't say anything about using it internally for dry skin, but for other benefits.

I think if you are looking for help with dry skin, I would stick with the simple act of making sure you are staying sufficiently hydrated, and use a thick body butter that contains fatty ingredients like shea or cocoa butter, olive oil, or coconut oil (do not use these on the face if you have oily or acne-prone skin).  Even though it feels so good to take a hot shower when it is cold out, hot water is damaging and drying to the skin.  Warm water is best, and apply your moisturizer or body oil while your skin is still damp to lock in that moisture.  If skin is very dry, apply twice a day. If the air is too dry in your home, use a humidifier.  And when outside, remember to keep yourself as covered as possible to prevent overexposure to the cold and wind.

No, but my husband drinks it to help with reflux. I agree with arryl that you'd be better off using a really good moisturizer. On what part of your body do you have a problem or is it all over?
