Sure it is! Aren't tehre studies that show that petting a cat lowers blood pressure? Adn that Alzheimer's patients respond to dogs. Something about unconditional love...

With my allergies no way lol! But I think it depends on the type of person. If said pet owner will actually care for the animal and enjoy its company and entertainment then sure it could be good. But if the animal isn't going to get much attention then I don't see how the pet owner would benefit much.

There's something great about having another family member to love. My cat cuddles with me most evenings and likes to jump under the covers at night as well! Meanwhile the dog is Hubby's buddy.

I think that the more you open your heart to love another (person or pet), the better your mental, emotional and physical health.

Hubby says a cat's purr is shown to relieve blood pressure. Sounds good to me! :)

I thinkhaving a pet is wonderful but only if you have an open heart for the animal and care for them.
