hello,
I'm usually on therelationship boards so visiting here for a rant of sorts and some opinions. I recently moved and had a health issue. Decided to find a new doc and get some basic blood work done as I've never had a cholesterol test, etc. After the test, the nurse practitioner called with results and told me that my cholesterol was borderline high. I was a little surprised but I set out thinking about how I would take care of this, supplements, diet etc.
Got the results from the lab in the mail a week later. These were the results within a few points (don't remember the exact numbers.
Both HDL and LDL in the 90s with the VLDL under 20
HDL - 94
LDL - 96
VLDL - 15
I don't remember my trigliceride # at the moment.
Please correct me if I'm wrong, but while my total number might be considered borderline high - aren't these numbers not bad...especially the high HDL?
I'm confused.
Thanks,
Libby
