Another vaccine tied to problems in children!

Well, there may be some proof in the works after all that vaccines cause Autism. A new study is showing that the Swine Flu vaccine is causing sleep disorders in children. I am sure that this news will lead to more testing on other vaccines and the possible problems they can cause. What do you think of this?

I'm not sure this in particular can be considered scare tactics by anti-vaccine fanatics when 3 different countries did independant research and had peer reviewed articles.  If this was one study, then yes, you can say its a scare tactic, but when its 3 different countries doing their own research and the company itself says that 795 people have developed nacolepsy since the vaccine's use began in 2009, that  is what people look for for confirmation.

Independent teams of scientists have published peer-reviewed studies from Sweden, Finland and Ireland showing the risk of developing narcolepsy after the 2009-2010 immunization campaign was between seven and 13 times higher for children who had Pandemrix than for their unvaccinated peers.

That is one of the many myths that pro-vaccination people, who usually haven't done the research, think. If vaccines work, then an unvaccinated child puts no one at risk. If someone's worried, then they ought to wonder why. My child's health is as important to me as yours is to you, and yours doesn't trump mine.

Scare tactics by anti-vaccine fanatics-that is what I think. In my opinion it's like not washing your hands because the soap might cause an allergic reaction! It is absolutely irresponsible and stupid for people not to vaccine themselves or their children against potentially fatal diseases or illnesses that could wipe out millions if not threaten the entire population. Anti-vaccination nuts are getting more and more organized and  vocal and what they are doing scares the daylights out of me. My child could be put at risk for horrible problems or even death for very preventable diseases because of them.

It is sort of sad that this is finally just coming to light and getting peoples' attention! The paper that comes with vaccines have always shown the statistics that there will be people with side-effects, some as bad as seizures, and that some will die. No one seems to take that seriously until it's their own child or they known someone whose kid is facing lifechanging problems. How sad that these children now face lifelong problems only because they wanted to reduce the possibility of getting a flu that they'd likely have survived without anything longlasting. I know too many people whose kids were fine before a shot, but not fine after. Sure, now they won't get measles but they may never speak and may always wear a diaper. They'd rather have dealt with measles.

So this is kind of like a chicken before the egg thing. Is it better to not get these kind of shots and take your chances on the sickness or take the shot and take your chances on it causing something else.

This makes me just sick.  I'm so tired of being scared into getting a vaccine (remember all of the terrible news stories when swine flu was going around??) only to later find that we are basically injecting poison into ourselves.  When will we ever be able to trust what we are being told??
