Sensitive teeth?

I have been having trouble with sensitivity of my teeth for a while now and my dentis has recommended that I switch to sensitive toothpaste for a while. I am completely shocked at how many brands there are. I never really paid attention to it until I needed to buy some and I'm not real sure what to choose. Does anyone have a recommendation?

Hi Mary! It is kind of amazing, isn't it? I have tried several of them and find them pretty much alike. They help some, but I have not found one yet that eliminates the sensitivity. Of course, I have a mouth full of large fillings and crowns, so have become a bit used to some discomfort.

My husband has sensitive teeth and the dentist gave him a sample of Sensodyne. He seemed to like it okay so when I went to buy a bigger tube I couldn't believe how many types of Sensodyne there were. I chose the box that looked the most like the sample tube the dentist had given us. lol

I don't know if they told you or not the dentist told my husband that tartar control products often cause tooth sensitivity. You might want to make sure your toothpaste doesn't have tartar control in it.
