Hello everyone, I popped over from the ttcyfc board so I'm not new per say. I've been going through quite the rollercoaster with my health lately & these drs are all driving me crazy!! So I thought I might ask you all for some insight if you had any. A very good friend of mine has struggled with Hashimoto's/cancer & had some of her thyroid removed. It took them 6yrs to dx her & after 10yrs of treatment unfortunately the cancer is back. I've been trying to help her for the past few months raise the funds to cover the part of her treatment the insurance company is refusing to pay. Needless to say on top of battling infertility for 2 1/2yrs with no known cause I've been super stressed lately. On to me, my dr had put me on Clomid for infertility & I've been on it the last 4mths. It has caused some very crazy s/e along the way so I overlooked some issues thinking they were caused by the meds. 3wks after my last round of meds I had a few small episodes where I would overheat & feel terribly sick for a couple of hours & then it would just go away. A few days

To start with, I would probably take the appointment with the endoc. since the other doctors can't figure out what's up.

Thanks for your help! After 2 days of researching it seems that Clomid itself does not cause these issues, however Clomid stimulates hormones including estrogen/progesterone. From what I've read these hormones bind in the bloodstream with thyroid hormones therefore they can alter test results on T4/TSH. They can raise them which may be why they're in normal range. I have almost every symptom of hyper except weight loss. I have had a few lbs lost here & there but a severe increase in appetite may be to blame. I had to wear a heart monitor last week as the dr thought I had a form of tachachardia causing the heart racing. Results came in today. At one point when I was resting it beat 147bpm, the highest over the course of wearing it. They only found 8 abnormal beats over a 24hr period so he said that is normal. All these tests are normal but they refuse to explore thyroid. I called & got my records from the thyroid bw they ran in Jan. My TSH was 2.545, I felt good at that time. Now it's 1.28, w/o medication I wonder if it should change that much on it's own? Anyways I just hope they can shed some light soon. Today dizziness woke me up from a dead sleep, it has been really bad. After calling the dr & asking what to do she gave me another rx. It's called Ativan, it's takin the edge off but has not completely gone away. I feel like this & the Meclazine are just masking the real problem. It's not fixing it. Sorry for rambling just trying to make sense of it all & figure out how to get it fixed. Thanks again!

In spite of all the testing, it looks as if you're ending up just running in circles.
